Yeah, but this one they got alive... Think of the possibilities!

Probably none, we can't even put underwear on their heads.

The leader of the al Qaida-affiliated Islamic State of Iraq, Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, has been captured, an Iraqi military spokesman has said.

US officials had no confirmation of the statement by Brigadier General Qassim al-Moussawi, spokesman of the Baghdad security operation.

Al-Moussawi said al-Baghdadi was captured in a raid in Abu Ghraib on the western outskirts of Baghdad.

"One of the terrorists who was arrested with him confessed that the one in our hands is al-Baghdadi," al-Moussawi said.

A prominent, but unidentified Iraqi Shiite close to Prime Minister Nouri Maliki also said al-Baghdadi had been captured.

Al-Baghdadi, also known as Abu Abdullah Rashid al-Baghdadi, has been identified in statements posted on Islamic extremist websites as the head of the Islamic State, which was proclaimed last year after the death of the leader of al Qaida in Iraqi, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

Al-Baghdadi was said to have headed the Mujahedeen Shura Council, an alliance of al Qaida and other jihadist organisations, which was set up last year to downplay the role of foreigners in the Iraqi insurgency.

"In some districts it may help garner votes...."

LOL. Here in the east Tennessee mountains that lifestyle still hasn't caught on too well.

My congressman, Lincoln Davis (that's really his name) voted for the non-binding resolution, but he doesn't have the courage to go further.

During a phone conversation his aid said Bush was wrong to not send enough troops to Iraq, but he is against (now) the surge, and sending additional troops to Iraq.

When asked what his plan for Iraq is, he has no answer.

This is his first term, and I will work hard to see to it his last. Elected democrats here in east Tennessee are rare, so he is on thin ice anyway.

"even Brian Williams of NBC said the violence was down and the Surge was working."

If this keeps up , pretty soon the reporters will be able to leave the Green Zone and not relay on al-Terroristah Stringer Supply and al-Baghdadi's Fauxtography.

Yup - might have been days ago. Things are probably really cracking over there right now, either way.

This is wonderful news! And the surge is working. The Democrats can't have that so they've moved up their own timetable to try and withdraw our troops in July. Of this year!

The enemy within is more dangerous to us that the enemy we're fighting in Afghanistan, imo.
