Last night around 19:00 hours my Great Niece Lluvia Gaudalupe Montellano, 4 years old, was run over by drunk driver. The child was playing on the sidewalk in front of her home in Juarez, Mexico. The extent of her injuries are an amputated, above the knee, left leg, right leg broken in two places. She is in the ICU at Centro Medico Especialdades(sp) Hospital, Juarez.
The driver of the vehicle was a Federale, Mexican Military. He was released by Juarez Police this morning.
My daughter in law was at the home when this happened, she stated to me that the car had four Federales in it and there were open and empty alcohol containers and drugs present in the vehicle.
I would like for all those that are willing to pray for a quick recovery for my niece.
I do not know as of now if there will be any help from the Mexican Government for my niece. Thank you in advance for your prayers.
Prayers for the little one and all in your family.
I'm in El Paso and didn't hear of this. I'll pray for her.
OMG! That's horrible!

I can't think of the right words to say in response to this happening, but I will pray for her and your family.

Prayers for the little girl and her family!
Unfortunately, this is just another day south of the border. There was an American family from California visiting Mexico several years ago. They were involved in an accident on the last day of their vacation. The husband was in critical condition and needed to be airlifted. The Federales demanded money, and the amount kept changing. The wife was frantic because she didn't have the money. She offered to stay as hostage. No deal. The doctors offered their watches, wallets, etc. No deal. Finally, they got him released, and airlifted. But this wrangling with corrupt Mexican officials cost too much time, and the man died. Oh, by-the-way, the Mexican official that caused the accident...the Minister of Transportation.
This is one of the reasons I will not go to Mexico.
On another note....I love bull riding and the rodeo! I did a little barrel racing. When did you ride?
Praying...God bless you all.
Keep your focus on your family, and let the Lord deal with the Federales. Despite her injury, she has hope for a good and happy life, unlike those scumballs.
Easy for me to say, I know, as you are probably beside yourself, but you and yours are in many many prayers.
That's terrible! I'll say a prayer for her.
