And where, exactly, in the articles of impeachment would I find reference to these laws of which you speak?

Oh, did they? Or did they say that her position was classified? It's interesting that more than three years into this investigation, we don't know if Plame fit the definition of a "covert" agent.
Wells had made a pretty good case that by not allowing to cross Mitchell and omitting Russert self impeachment, Libby was denied the right of facing his accusers.
Three of the five charges were from Russert, who was shown to have failed to disclose his FBI discussion in the subpoena, then Russert taunted Novak for not complying with a subpoena.
BTW Russert swears he didn't say a word to his friend the former President of the company.
Oh, yes, and conveniently the FBI guy who interviewed Russert is retired and his notes are lost.

Yes it is. It is interesting that this juror, Denis Wilson, sounds like he and perhaps another juror played prosecutor themselves other than just weighing the evidence. The judge obviously already questioned them and saw no reason to set aside the verdict, but this provides an interesting approach to an appeal, of which there are already several solid grounds to file.
I wish I knew more about the law, but can jury conduct during deliberations be reviewed pre-appeal and can the verdict be set aside ex post facto?
Yeah...that case the Wilsons are bringing will be another fun one.
I guess they will fix that one to where they won't have to testify, huh???
Between that juror that should never have been let on this jury...and the way Wells started out by talking about Libby taking a fall for the Bush Admin.

After Judy Miller, the press saw that it would be punished for telling the truth. There were more incentives for the press to lie than for Libby to do so.
Although Judy lied about Valerie Flame.
Doesnt anyone know the difference between "classified" and "covered" by the statute protecting covert CIA agents from being publicly named??? Half of what the government does is classified. The CIA's budget for years was classified so even members of congress who voted on it werent sure how much they were approving. Classified doesnt mean that Plame is a covered covert agent. However, I can see many reasons why the CIA would not want their employment list to be public record (therefore it becomes classified. You dont want to give spys or terrorists lists of people to go after.
what was the crime being referred? why didn't they make a criminal referral when Wilson told everyone in the DC media that his wife worked for the CIA?
the whole thing was a setup from the start - from her promotion of Wilson for the Niger mission to discredit the uranium claim, all the way to today.
and what is most amazing, is that the administration didn't come to grips with this politically at any step along the way. now I understand why Fleischer resigned, he could see this coming, knew the administration wouldn't fight any of it, so he just wanted to get out of the way before he ended up in jail himself - like Libby.
