The Fox News story implied that he's pro-life, but like you, I haven't seen enough about his various positions to know. I do think he'd be a strong candidate, and probably the only one apart from Hunter that I would feel confident about in the general election.

Looks like Law & Order has finally "Jumped the SharK" having the New York County DA leave his office to run for President.

Will Jack McCoy be his running mate?

"How long before somebody calls him a RINO?"

Any idea on how he'd deal with the illegals?

Interesting.Although I didn't always agree with him I always respected him. Both The Former Twelfth Lady and Osama Obama would have their hands full against Thompson.

Fred is right on the issues of God, gays and guns. According to Carl Cameron.

I still love Hunter but I could jump on the Fred bandwagon very easily.

Not to be the skunk here, but Senator Thompson let Senator Glenn walk all over him when they served together on their committee.

He's got that good old boy demeanor that sounds appealing, but can be prone to going along to get along.

Having said that, he would bring some good depth to the debates, and may very well be a strong candidate.

That's only because he's been busy being an actor. I'd find it hard to give up $100,000 an episode on Law & Order myself.

New wife, new little baby, I can't imagine why Fred Thompson would step back into that senate swamp.

LOVE reading his bio:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Dalton_Thompson

He makes $100,000 per Law & Order episode...
way to go, Fred!

What is a Fred Thompson?

I watch very little TV.
I haven't heard about any movie.

"The last actor we had was pretty darn good."

He was a Tennessee Congressman before TV, and a damn good, conservative one at that!

Fred Thompson has verbal abilities, and a Tennessee accent, he will be unstoppable in Red States.

Do I hear a Rebel Yell!?

Who is Fred Thompson and why should I vote for him, as opposed to, say, Duncan Hunter?
