He's got that good old boy demeanor that sounds appealing, but can be prone to going along to get along.
Having said that, he would bring some good depth to the debates, and may very well be a strong candidate.
OK, I've been one of the vocal Rudy supporters here but I have to say, Fred Thompson gets my vote.
Actually, I don't think a Thompson/Giuliani or Giuliani/Thompson ticket could lose against the Hildabeast.
Listen, I think one reason Thompson left the Senate was the shameless, despicable committee behavior of skunk John Glenn, who sold his soul for that little boondoggle space ride. Bought and paid for by Bill Clinton, there was little Thompson could do to thwart John Glenn's unethical tactics.
I don't know when I've been more disappointed in the outcome of Senate Hearings, but John Glenn was tasked with concealing Bill Clinton's link to illegal Chinese campaign donations (think Riady, Huang, Chung, Lippo, etc), from Fred Thompson, and he did it.
I like him a lot, but he was not as strong on that committee as I hoped he would be.
Isn't Thompson an open-borders good ol' boy like every else (except Hunter)?
