Is he pro choice? I've heard that but don't know if it's true. Would you call him a moderate? Don't get me wrong, I'm not against him (though am supporting Duncan Hunter). I've always been uncertain where to peg him.

The Hunter-Thompson Ticket? Good one, LOL.
Rudy-Thompson would be just the ticket. Rudy needs to run with a Southern or Mid-West Conservative.

"Bet Rudy's shaking in his pumps right about now."
Not at all. Fred will be a great VP choice for him.

I thought he was going to be nominated to the Court when GWB tapped him to guide the selection process (the Cheney precedent). You know, I might have to eat my words from earlier today about a SCOTUS nomination having no chance ... Thompson could make it through. Dunno about POTUS, though. It is worth a look. Is he speaking at CPAC?

I was for Romney but if Thompson runs I'm switching!
To: STARWISE
This would be great news, whether or not he were to win the nomination. He's more conservative than all of the three current front-runners, and has Rudy's speaking ability and pro-WOT strengths without Rudy's liberalism on several issues (Gore-bal warming, abortion, guns, immigration). Just get him (Fred) into the MIX, is what I'm saying.

Best news I've heard this week.
He can do it!
Wish he would bring Newt in as VP.
When Newt was Speaker of the House, he was actually able to get the Republicans to show some backbone. We all know what happened with them afterward.
