Check out the youtube videos I posted links to a few posts up. It will give you an idea about him.
To: william clark
I did some quick research and found out that he is against partial birth abortion, against government funding of abortions and is against human cloning. Those are all good. But abortion is a more complex issue and that's all I've found out so far.

He's already played himself in a movie. It was about him and some housewife chasing the governor of Tennessee out of office.

I believe those words were her last lines on the show, when her character was told she was being replaced. It was a really cheap, lame line that made everyone who heard it groan.

He's right on every issue aside from CFR. And he's well-spoken and persuasive. It'd be like taking the strengths of Rudy and Hunter and making one candidate out of them. I agree that he's a fine spokesman and a good public speaker. He has zero administrative experience, and tended to "go along to get along" in Congress.

Is he qualified? Senators are not executives and the Presidency is executive on steroids. He had two senate terms and is a lawyer...but all this means is that he's a bloviator, reviewer, ANALyser. Presidents must be creative, decisive, and lead.
Democrats are the ones who like to run Senators...Republicans do better with governors....

Now THAT should get some excitement going, eh??

I like Fred, but he couldn't nail Hillary when he had her dead to rights when he chaired that committee looking in to illegalities.
To: STARWISE
I'm also considering running; just haven't announced it yet either.

Thanks for the ping!
I'm intrigued by Thompson. In fact, this is the first time I've found anything intriguing about the entire '08 election.
Hope he makes it official.

Is he pro choice? I've heard that but don't know if it's true. Would you call him a moderate? Don't get me wrong, I'm not against him (though am supporting Duncan Hunter). I've always been uncertain where to peg him. He's a Moderate. See my previous post in this thread. He's not a conservative, but not a liberal either.
