The commercial went from mildly funny to annoying pretty fast. I can't imagine watching a half-hour one-joke based show, with such a silly premise.

Not nearly as annoying as the Capitol One commercials with the guy who always said "very, very rewarding" with an accent. I haven't seen them in a while so perhaps a lot of other people found them equally annoying.

I agree. This might work for a mini series. Caveman found and thawed, caveman learns to speak & adapts, Caveman moves to Atlanta and tragically does not have the genetic makeup to digest peanuts and dies of anaphalatic schlock, or something along these lines. Four or Five weeks as a summer replacement, OK.

Actually, I think the idea backfires.
If the 'joke' is that having Geico is so simple even a caveman can handle it- isn't that the same as saying its the insurance company for the stupid, since they are portraying the caveman as 'slow'?
So Geico- the insurance company for the single digit IQ?
