The problem with your analysis is this.

Those same people you would kick to the curb are 99.9% likely to also support all of your other platforms.

But, kick them to the curb if you like. The Republican party can remain the minority party. One Liberal Party in power is enough.

At least that party I know is my enemy.

BTW social issues aside, my support or lack of, for the current front runner has little or nothing to do with his marriage/divorces, abortion or whether or not he supports gay marriage.

It has everything to do with his LACK of support for the one thing that insures the People of the United States have the ability to defend themselves against their Government, AND his insistant support of the Illegal Invasion of our Country.

The other issues are important to be sure, but they are not deciding factors for me.

They are for others, and those the Republican Party will also lose if they continue down this path of "Just like the Dims but better" path they seem to be on.

Yes, they do, but they have a different agenda. They are engaged in a power play for the reigns of the RNC and they are failing. They are attacking the moderates and anyone else with a different social opinion then their own. In doing so, they have damaged the party. Nearly destroyed it and this will be obvious in 2008.

So who is the culprit here....Me??????? Or the nasty new meat eating fish that are new to the tank?

Obviously your issue is guns, and Rudy is a big city prosecutor. Big cities, hate guns....

Not just some of them, but all of them and us country folks can't really understand this concept.

I don't particularly like ex-procecutors for this reason.

If you feel this way about Rudy, then you should feel the same way about Judge Bork! You should be glad he was Borked!

There are exceptions to most rules in politics, but the unappeasable does not see them. I think the key to good politics is knowledge, and we cannot have too much of it. I think Judge Bork, regardless of his first amendment opinions, who have been a asset to the court at a time when we needed on badly. So there are always compromises. I also think we could have done without the Harriet Miers debate. It damaged the presidency and she never received a single debate or vote in the Senate. It was a travesty.

There are alway grey and tan areas in politics. Always.....
