One reason why its funny is the way Larry King takes complex things and breaks it down into simplistic Larry King style sensationalism that is really besides the point. Maybe I am overanalyzing this but that statement of his is FUnnie in a Larry King sort of way.

Finding the bones of Jesus makes as much sense as finding the Easter Bunny. Are you telling me there ain't no Easter Bunny?!!!
Well, just damn!
To: PJ-Comix
As much as I may dislike Mr. King, this is a very funny joke on his part!

I think he's saying that you won't find the bones of the Easter Bunny (because the Easter Bunny is alive and well). I'm sure that's what he meant. Anyone that doesn't believe in the Easter Bunny is a nut, we all know that.

As much as I may dislike Mr. King, this is a very funny joke on his part!I doubt he was trying to be funny. He probably meant to take a really tacky cheap shot at Christianity, but ended up looking like such a moron that you couldn't help but laugh.

Actually this was Larry King being his simplistic, but unintentionally hilarious, self. Remember, for Larry King, the Internet is nothing but having to punch a bunch of annoying buttons. This is all part of Larry World.

King is a complete moron with a terrible voice.
This guy does not belong in radio nor on tv.

I didn't
watch Mr. King, but read the report here at FR.
Still, his quote is funny. You know, destroy Christianity - lose the Bunny.
Easter. Resurrection. Get it?

King is a complete moron with a terrible voice. Larry King's failings are sort of a part of his charm. I used to know him a bit here in South Florida and the guy is a mass of incredible insecurities despite his fame. He introduced me to one of his many wives and then kept asking me what I thought of her. King also had the Mob after him because of heavy gambling debts and went on the run. Yeah, he has his faults but he is like a character out of Elmore Leonard.

I know my King, and Larry ain't it.
They may change the name of Easter to Spring Break, or Christmas to Winter Holidays, but they will not eliminate God.
Even the satanic terrorists believe in God. But their god rules by hatred and murder.
Many societies have used God's name, to push their own objectives, in history, even some Christians. It is still happening today.
Why is it that some wish to slur the name of God or to try to prove there is no God?
If there is no God in their hearts, why do they even care?
To me, it's like a child trying to convince themselves not to be afraid of the boogieman. Maybe they are just hoping there is no God, so that they can continue their self serving lifestyle without remorse.

You think Larry King was funny with this comment?
Wait until next week when he interviews the GEICO cavemen.
"So, here you are living in prehistoric times, was it as easy to drive those caveman cars like Fred Flintstone did, it looked pretty simple, but how do you stop it without tearing off the soles of your feet?"

You think Larry King was funny with this comment? He wasn't TRYING to be FUnnie. He was just being typical Larry King. BTW, I found a Biblical Christianity blog that also found this same quote hilarious. The blogger said it ranks as a Larry King classic.

"Unintentionally hilarious quote by Larry King..."
Isn't "untintentionally" redundant in this context??
To: wizr
Chill out. Larry's quote had as much to do with Jesus as his quote about pushing a bunch of annoying buttons had to do with the Internet.
