Looking now. Nothing nasty yet. Let's hope they can contain themselves. No matter D or R, we all should show more respect.

Gross. I guess they can't contain themselves. Well, some reports are saying the blast wasn't aimed at the Veep, but if they weren't aimed at him then, they sure will be now that the whole world knows he's there.
I bet some of those cocky, pampered reporters traveling with the VP are changing their underwear about now.
This will be another propaganda attempt, by trying to keep our leaders from further trips out there.

Suicide bombing at the American base of Bagram: 2 killed Afghans
BAGRAM (Afghanistan) - Two Afghans were killed and 18 wounded in a suicide bombing perpetrated at the entry of the American base of Bagram, in the north of Kabul, during a visit of the American vice-president Dick Cheney, declared in AFP the chief of the district of Bagram, Kabir Ahmad.
It is about a suicide bombing perpetrated in front of the principal entry kept by American soldiers, declared Mr. Ahmad, without being able to give more explanations.
According to first information's, two Afghans were killed and 18 wounded, it added.
The number two American, who was inside the base, was not wounded, according to its spokesman.
I was stationed at Bagram, the base is huge so a perimeter suicide bomb would not be a threat.A jihadi set off a car bomb, at the main gate, while I was there. It sounded like many of the other blasts that occur every day from destroyed mines, demolition range etc. There are security layers there.
