Governor Romney Involved In An Automobile Accident
While in Washington DC today, Governor Mitt Romney after meeting with U2 lead singer Bono, CNN and ABC News was involved in an automobile accident. The rented black Dodge Durango carrying the governor backed into a parked car. Initial reports from the scene indicate that no one was hurt.

As opposed to him getting your vote BEFORE today? ;-)
Of course, when we got there someone had moved it back!!!
I am very suspicous of this accident. Perhaps, something underhanded between the campaigns?
Hillary's having a dress rehearsal. Stay out of the national parks, Governor.
If he had of been riding in a "real" SUV, say a 3/4 ton 4x4 Suburban, or better yet an Excursion, he probably would have been able to continue on his journey. Especially if he should have happened to have a good ole Texas brush guard bolted on the front bumper with a big ole winch mounted up there to boot, heh, heh...
He was on the list of "potentials".....as opposed to McCain, Gore, Kerry, Clinton, Obama and Rudy being on the "never" list.

I agree with you about Bono, and I think too many people "love to hate him", without bothering to expose themselves to what it is he's after, and how he thinks he can be of use. While he's probably not a "conservative" he has struck me as someone who is GENUINELY idealistic, and one who hopes like hell he can orchestrate some combination of people and institutions to do SOMETHING about alleviating a little suffering in the world. He is NOT to be associated with any of the shallow goofball Lefties, whether you're talking about Tim Robbins, or Barbra Streisand, or Sean Penn. I think he's way MORE aware than any of them, and not interested in being partisan per se. I think this meeting was more at the request of Bono, and was probably a sincere attempt to see if Romney is a candidate he could get behind and back. And I think many people may be surprised at how the meeting eventually turns out. Some of this negativity really bothers me: it's almost like some people assuming Bono is some kind of shakedown artist like Jackson or Sharpton.
Sheezh!!!

Ted Kennedy: "No comment."
LOL!!
I'm all for Bono spending his money on what charity he wants, unfortunately much of his "activist" work is about getting governments to spend their (ie "mine and the teaxpayers") money on charities. Meanwhile he holds his assests in off shore accounts and pays zero taxes (in his own country). It's the typical rich liberal way to use us poor serfs and peasants while seeming noble. "Do as I say not as I do."
I wonder what Romney sees in him? Obviously he sees something that will help Mitt win, somehow, but what deal did they make?
Yes, Bono is a pompous limo liberal, but so is Streisand. Like I said before at least he takes himself seriously. He also acts with some decorum, unlike many "rock stars".
