FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MINUTEMAN PROJECT, Inc., CHANGES LEADERSHIP

FEBRUARY 24, 2007

"The MINUTEMAN PROJECT, Inc.," (MMP) was a concept created to defend the sovereignty of the United States of America. The organization created sought to empower American citizens in the exercise of their constitutional rights to demand redress of grievances from the government's failure to enforce United States Immigration law.

While "The MINUTEMAN PROJECT, Inc.," recognizes the efforts and contributions made by Mr. Jim Gilchrist at the inception of the organization, the MMP Board of Directors has determined that a change of leadership based on internal issues was necessary.

MMP has led the fight in this culture war being waged on the American middle-class, and in order to continue its commitment to every American citizen, today announced it will immediately implement a reorganization of internal administrative, operational, membership, and accounting policies.

MMP today asks its membership for their continued support throughout this reorganization and pledges to make the MMP a stronger, more viable, efficient and politically effective mechanism as we move forward to press for the United States Government to enforce immigration law, secure America's borders, and safe-guard American citizens from illegal aliens criminal, health, gang-related and economic threats.

Vibrant, ethical and responsive leadership is pledged to our members by current MMP President Mr. Marvin Stewart, and MMP Treasurer Ms. Deborah Courtney. "I stand committed to re-focusing the direction of the MINUTEMAN PROJECT to the goals established when this great movement first came on the scene" Mr. Stewart stated. "While others may seek to profit from an effort to secure America's borders, true patriots will draw a line in the sand whether it is against the proponents of illegal aliens, or internal foes bent on avarice and greed" Mr. Stewart concluded.

"I have pledged my time, my effort and my personal resources, to maintain what I truly believe is the only organization that can swing the ship of state back on course" Ms Courtney said. "Although we face a difficult process in the reorganization of the MMP, it is based on external forces that cannot go unchallenged" Ms Courtney stated.

Barbara Coe has two last names?
Seriously, I generally try to stay away from asking questions about a woman's AGE, and/or her MARITAL STATUS -- unless I have a good reason to need to know it.

Plus, I think that Deborah had some kind of "stalker" problem, so her name change does not necessarily bother me much.

BCC membership and friends,

The recent developments in the Minuteman Project are not cause for celebration. It saddens all of us that a great patriot like Jim Gilchrist must endure such public humiliation at the hands of grifters. It is for this reason that the Co-founders of Blue Collar Conservatives, Edwin R Williams and Gene Champagne strongly suggest to our membership that they refrain from making any disparaging remarks about Jim. As far as we are concerned, Jim Gilchrist IS the 21st Century Minuteman and co-founder of the Original Minuteman Project. He and MCDC President, Chris Simcox are the heart and soul of the Minuteman movement.

The Myspace.com/MinutemanProject page is not in Jim's possession any longer. It is up to you, but most of us have removed them from our friends list. Please pass this on.

Thank You,

Gene Champagne

Edwin R Williams

As you may know, getting Deborah's other name made public through this lawsuit has arguably endangered her life.
It is not something that we should treat trivially.
The serial offender who viciously attacked her several years ago may now do so again -- more easily, as a result of this publicity of this court fight.

Just recieved this e-mail and feel that both sides should be heard.....

Dear Minutemen,

Yes it is true. Several people who Jim Gilchrist fully trusted have put
their pursuit of money and power above the Cause. They conspired to
remove Jim Gilchrist as head of the Minuteman Project and insert
themselves in positions of power in the organization.

Who are these individuals?

Deborah Peterson - AKA Deborah Courtney
Marvin Stewart - a quasi-Minister and government worker
Barbara Coe - California Coalition for Immigration Reform

I am still stunned. Did they really think that all of us would just roll
over and let this happen?

See the MMP press release below and please note the following about
these three individuals:

1. Using stolen passwords they hacked into our Web Servers and changed
the passwords for several of our accounts.

2. They took control of all our Minuteman Project email addresses. As of
right now, all email sent to anyone @minutemanproject.com goes to these
corporate raiders. We are forced to use our personal email addresses
until this is resolved in court. You can contact us at:

Linda Muller [WebMaster] - lindamuller@forthecause.us
Jim Gilchrist [MMP Founder]- century21minuteman@sbcglobal.net
Tim Bueler [Media] - media@timbueler.com

3. It also looks like they might have stolen our email list. If you, as
a member of the Minuteman Project email list, receive email claiming it
is from the MMP, from anyone other than me, Tim or Jim, please remember
it is bogus.

4. They stole over 20,000 pages of our letterhead stationery and
envelopes bearing Jim Gilchrist's personal signature. Needless to say if
you receive any letters in the mail that seem out of character, you will
know they are from this band of devious conspirators.

5. As of right now they have been unable to hack into our website - we
still have full control over it. Tommy Crenshaw, who manages our system,
is keeping watch on it round the clock. He says they are using
sophisticated hacking tools to try and break into the Web Server. Thus
far he has been able to thwart their incessant attempts to break in.
Again, if you notice content on the website that seems out of character,
you can assume that they were successful in taking over our website. If
that happens, stay tuned to my personal website at www.forthecause.us
for updates.

For now I just wanted to make sure you know about our email addresses
and the stolen stationery so you will not be confused if you are
contacted by them. I will be writing up much more on this over the next
few days and posting it on the www.minutemanproject.com and the
www.forthecause.us websites... and also emailing it to several lists.

Please help Jim Gilchrist and the Minuteman Project by sending this
information across the USA. Post it on websites. Upload it to message
boards and chat rooms.

I for one will be damned if I will stand quietly by while Deborah
Peterson [AKA Deborah Courtney], Marvin Stewart and Barbara Coe try to
steal the Minuteman Project from Jim Gilchrist. How about you?

As always, For the Cause - Linda
And still the Minuteman Project Webmaster!

Minuteman Founder Under Attack by Internal Terrorists

MINUTEMAN FOUNDER UNDER ATTACK BY INTERNAL TERRORISTS

For years, Jim Gilchrist had been concerned about the illegal alien
invasion of America, which is so evident in southern California. On
September 11, 2001, as he watched the terrorist attack on the Twin
Towers, he was outraged that these terrorist-murderers were mostly
illegal aliens, here on expired visas.

Three years later, the government had done nothing to secure the
borders, and Jim Gilchrist decided that letters and phone calls to
politicians clearly weren't enough. On October 1, 2004 he founded The
Minuteman Project and launched a recruiting program that called together
patriotic Americans to stand watch on the borders, report to the Border
Patrol, and try to stem the tide of illegal aliens and terrorists who
daily, in the thousands, infiltrate America. With about 1,200 volunteers
from every state in the union Gilchrist and his hand-picked
co-organizers successfully conducted the largest Minuteman assembly
since 1776.

For his efforts, Gilchrist, a wounded combat Marine veteran and retired
CPA, has been routinely attacked by the usual suspects: special
interests, pro-unrestricted immigration groups, amnesty supporters, drug
lords, and others, in and out of government.

Now Jim Gilchrist is under attack from a different sort of terrorist:
covert subversives who managed to gain Gilchrist's trust, only to breach
that trust by attempting to kidnap the organization he founded.
Gilchrist has effectively led The Minuteman Project since its inception,
but according to the propaganda voiced by these brazen corporate
raiders, Gilchrist is a bad guy. These hostile corporate raiders claim
they are taking over The Minuteman Project to "save" it.

Save it? Hijack and take it over, is a more apt description, says Steve
Eichler, the Minuteman Project's Executive Director. He supports
Gilchrist and is outraged at the high-handed manner in which a gang of
isolated insiders have moved to oust Gilchrist.

Deborah Courtney, Marvin Stewart, and Barbara Coe have all been trusted
confidantes, said Eichler, and it is devastating to Jim and me,
personally, to realize that they have been covertly manipulating to take
over the Minuteman Project.

Courtney, Stewart and Coe claim that they are the Minuteman Project, by
virtue of them having voted Gilchrist off the Project's so-called board
of directors, a board that never existed.

That's pretty funny, says Eichler. The Minuteman Project is incorporated
under Delaware law, and Jim is the only corporate officer. There is no
board, so just how is it that three supposed board members meet secretly
and vote off the founder and president, then vote to give themselves
access to the bank accounts and withdraw money? What will they claim
next, that Marvin L. Stewart is the president of the United States in an
attempt to oust the president from the White House?

These people were simply confidantes and a board of advisors, explained
Gilchrist. They were not a decision-making corporate board. Even if the
seven-person board they claim to have been a part of existed, how could
three people, who couldn't even constitute a quorum, meet secretly
without notifying the others, and take any sort of legal action?

There is also the question of bank fraud, adds Eichler. Deborah
Courtney, Marvin Stewart, and another person went to the bank with bogus
paperwork, seized the Project's bank account and withdrew Minuteman
Project funds, causing the Project's outstanding checks to bounce. We're
not talking about a simple policy disagreement, here. This is white
collar crime, and we intend to pursue it as such.

An Orange County Times article (Ousted Minuteman Leader Seeks Court
Remedy, by Jennifer Dilson, Feb 27, 2007) refers to the non-existent
board of directors having ousted Gilchrist, and refers to Gilchist's
claim that the renegade board had stolen 20,000 letterhead stationery
and envelopes bearing Gilchrist's personal signature, had hacked into
the Minuteman Project's website, and had stolen money from the Project s
bank accounts (about $4,000, according to Gilchrist, who filed a
criminal report of theft with the Orange County Sheriff), and had
diverted money from other sources. Gilchrist plans to meet with
investigators from the Federal Bureau of Investigation next week to
discuss any federal criminal violations that may have been perpetrated
by the takeover collaborators.

Gilchrist is concerned that Courtney, Stewart and Coe will use the
stolen Minuteman Project materials, including access to the Project s
mailing list, to send out bogus appeals for funds. Our supporters are
dedicated patriots. They don't deserve to be deceived by bogus
fund-raising appeals, says a concerned Gilchrist.

Attorneys for both sides presented their case Feb 26 to Orange County
Judge Randell L. Wilkinson. This morning the court ruled in Gilchrist's
favor by expediting the matter and setting a court date for a formal
hearing on March 21 at 1:30 PM in Santa Ana Superior Court.

RonDog,

You've know me an even longer time, and I can tell you from personal experience that Deborah Courtney/Peterson has libeled me and Gayle, trying to destroy our good names simply because I refused to appoint Deborah to the California Republican Party.

In her deceitful attempts to hurt me and my family, she submitted a false W-2 to the Internal Revenue Service to cause me trouble (I have been found innocent of her claims and she is now under investigation by the I.R.S. for perjuring herself). Additionally, she has promulgated a rumor that I "borrowed $10,000 from her" and refuse to pay her back. I really take umbrage at that since I have been working 3 jobs for the past 2 years in order to retire ALL of my campaign debt, and as of this date EVERY DEBT IS PAID IN FULL.

In addition, when I was a member of the Board of Directors of the "D'Angelo Foundation" which Deborah started, she attempted to do things which were unethical and possibly illegal. She was only prevented from accomplishing such by the strenuous efforts of myself and the other Board Members.

She asked me to write and mail a letter on behalf of the "foundation" to solicit donations from my extensive list of contacts (from my Assembly campaign)with the promise that she would reimburse me for the postage and printing. I never received a cent for my efforts, AND she intercepted the self-addressed return donation envelopes so the Board of Directors never found out how much was received back in donations from this mailing effort.

I and the other members of the Board found it necessary to resign from her "foundation" and distance ourselves from it (and her) for fear of possible legal problems brought on by Deborah's playing fast and loose with the legal obligations of the corporation. In fact, I believe that (without the knowlege or approval of the Board of Directors) Deborah issued "tax-deductable" receipts for donations to the "foundation" even though she never filed the paperwork necessary to obtain 501c3 status!

I think you should take a long look at the growing string of names of people who were once close to Deborah, who now know as I do that she cannot be trusted, and is a bitter, vindictive woman who sows devisiness everywhere she goes.

Oh PU-LEASE!! Deborah uses both last names interchangeably depending on who she's talking to or who's taking her picture! Now that she's "married" (had a ceremony alongside the Potomac but, once again, failed to file the paperwork - anyone see a pattern here? - oooh, or is she still receiving spousal support from her former husband?)I'm surprised that she's not using all three names in order to confuse people who might have papers to serve!

"QUORUM FOR STOCKHOLDER MEETINGS Delaware law allows a corporation's certificate of incorporation or by-laws to specify the number of shares whose holders shall be present or represented by proxy at any meeting in order to constitute a quorum, but requires the quorum to consist of at least one-third of the shares entitled to a vote at the meeting... "

But all require notification of ALL board members, no less than 7 days prior to the meeting. It wasn't lobster that smelled fishy at that meeting.

Deborah tried to pull the same kind of stunts with the so-called "D'Angelo Foundation" by deciding things on her wild (and I emphasize WILD) whims without calling Board Meetings.

Just like in her "real" life, she sets scenery up to make things look legit and reasonable to the casual observer, but runs willy-nilly (some say "manic") in her actual practices.

Be careful, RonDog. Be VERY careful . . . there are a great number of us who once trusted and tried to help her; we're all now busy pulling the knives out of our backs.

As I said to one person (now formerly cose to Deborah); I wasn't the first to feel her wrath for being so bold as to suggest she needs emotional/mental counseling, and I'm quite sure I won't be the last. That formerly close person is now one of our fellow members in the (vastly growing) club of people viciouly betrayed and libeled by Deborah.

The story below might be the reason Coe left the rebels behind. Many of her best people attended this event; it was a true "return of the King" moment.

MINUTEMAN/WOMEN RALLY AT DANA POINT
Jim Gilchrist on Hand; Plotters Fail to Show

Dana Point, CA: Marvin Stewart called for a rally on Saturday, but Stewart and his co-conspirators were conspicuously absent. Stewart along with Barbara Coe, Deborah Courtney and others recently set into motion an attempt to take over the Minuteman Project [MMP] and fire its Founder and President, Jim Gilchrist. Labeling himself the new “President” of the MMP, Stewart sent a notice to the email list of Minuteman volunteers, asking them to join him in Dana Point.

Frightened off by the arrival of Jim Gilchrist and the Project’s Executive Director, Stephen Eichler, Marvin Stewart and his followers steered clear of the event and did not attend.

Nearly 100 Minutemen and women attended the morning rally. The volunteers were there to express their concerns about the wave of illegal immigration, which is swamping social and police services throughout the state. Gilchrist and Eichler were there not only in their regular roles, to encourage and support the volunteers, but also to answer questions about the confusion created by Stewart, Courtney, and Coe, who claim to be the new “Directors” of the MMP.

Asked about the “palace coup,” Gilchrist said, “the truth will be heard,” on March 21, when they would all be in court. “This is an unfortunate distraction,” he said, “but I want to stay on mission. I started the Minuteman Project to bring together volunteers to shine a light on the failures of the state and federal governments to enforce the law, support legal immigration, and stop illegal border crossings, and that is what I am continuing to do.”

Executive Director Eichler added, “Look around you. Marv (Stewart) called these volunteers, but they uniformly support Jim. Stewart and his gang aren’t going to stop us, but it does hurt, both emotionally, because we knew and trusted these conspirators; and financially, because we cannot, in good faith, ask our donors to support the Project until all the issues are resolved.”

“You know,” said Eichler, “I’ve known Barbara Coe for a half-dozen years. She has been a good friend in the past, and I think it would take a slick operative to turn her. I have to wonder just what big money and political interests could be behind this blatant, illegal takeover attempt. It has been too coordinated, too smooth. It has all the hallmarks of a professional disinformation campaign.”

Eichler noted, “We didn’t detect any problems until Paul Sielski moved here from D.C. to live with his girlfriend, Deborah Courtney. [Courtney now claims to be “Treasurer” for the Minuteman Project.] That’s when it seemed all hell began breaking loose.”

Gilchrist confirmed his past trust in Courtney and Coe, who heads the California Coalition for Immigration Reform (CCIR). Both had access to the Project’s books and bank accounts. According to Gilchrist and Eichler, they used that information to fraudulently withdraw $4,000 from the Minuteman Project bank accounts and filed bogus papers.
