BCR,
Is this true? Has Barbara come to her senses and realized that her cohorts in this coup are snakes???

Yes. I saw the resignation on ccir.net.

Coe Resigns from Minuteman Project

In respect for the wishes of the majority of our dedicated CCIR members who oppose the current legal action, I hereby submit my resignation as a member of the Board of Directors of the Minuteman Project, effective this date, March 5, 2007. -- Barbara Coe, CCIR Chairperson

The story below might be the reason Coe left the rebels behind. Many of her best people attended this event; it was a true "return of the King" moment.

MINUTEMAN/WOMEN RALLY AT DANA POINT
Jim Gilchrist on Hand; Plotters Fail to Show

Dana Point, CA: Marvin Stewart called for a rally on Saturday, but Stewart and his co-conspirators were conspicuously absent. Stewart along with Barbara Coe, Deborah Courtney and others recently set into motion an attempt to take over the Minuteman Project [MMP] and fire its Founder and President, Jim Gilchrist. Labeling himself the new “President” of the MMP, Stewart sent a notice to the email list of Minuteman volunteers, asking them to join him in Dana Point.

Frightened off by the arrival of Jim Gilchrist and the Project’s Executive Director, Stephen Eichler, Marvin Stewart and his followers steered clear of the event and did not attend.

Nearly 100 Minutemen and women attended the morning rally. The volunteers were there to express their concerns about the wave of illegal immigration, which is swamping social and police services throughout the state. Gilchrist and Eichler were there not only in their regular roles, to encourage and support the volunteers, but also to answer questions about the confusion created by Stewart, Courtney, and Coe, who claim to be the new “Directors” of the MMP.

Asked about the “palace coup,” Gilchrist said, “the truth will be heard,” on March 21, when they would all be in court. “This is an unfortunate distraction,” he said, “but I want to stay on mission. I started the Minuteman Project to bring together volunteers to shine a light on the failures of the state and federal governments to enforce the law, support legal immigration, and stop illegal border crossings, and that is what I am continuing to do.”

Executive Director Eichler added, “Look around you. Marv (Stewart) called these volunteers, but they uniformly support Jim. Stewart and his gang aren’t going to stop us, but it does hurt, both emotionally, because we knew and trusted these conspirators; and financially, because we cannot, in good faith, ask our donors to support the Project until all the issues are resolved.”

“You know,” said Eichler, “I’ve known Barbara Coe for a half-dozen years. She has been a good friend in the past, and I think it would take a slick operative to turn her. I have to wonder just what big money and political interests could be behind this blatant, illegal takeover attempt. It has been too coordinated, too smooth. It has all the hallmarks of a professional disinformation campaign.”

Eichler noted, “We didn’t detect any problems until Paul Sielski moved here from D.C. to live with his girlfriend, Deborah Courtney. [Courtney now claims to be “Treasurer” for the Minuteman Project.] That’s when it seemed all hell began breaking loose.”

Gilchrist confirmed his past trust in Courtney and Coe, who heads the California Coalition for Immigration Reform (CCIR). Both had access to the Project’s books and bank accounts. According to Gilchrist and Eichler, they used that information to fraudulently withdraw $4,000 from the Minuteman Project bank accounts and filed bogus papers.
