Giuliani's problem with the religious [large graphics]

Posted on 02/18/2007 4:12:23 PM PST by Jim Robinson

I don't know about you, but I doubt the Christian conservatives throughout the red state farm belt and especially down in the South are going to cotton to a liberal New York Yankee coming down to try to clean up crime by taking their guns and bringing abortion and gay unions (gay marriage) into their families, schools and churches.

Here is the bill. The question of the life and health of the mother is left ambiguous possibly to be questioned by third parties not solely determinant- as it should be- by the doctor and the patient.

"Provided, That no other medical procedure would suffice for that purpose."

Who decides. The implication is that mothers and doctors would choose this procedure when there is another choice. I find that absurd.

Okay. Become petulant and self-destructive and vote for the Stalinist, instead.

More of your either/or fallocy.

The solution is to nominate someone who can hold the party together. And that someone ain't Rudy.

Counservative is only a path to a better country.

It is not my reason for being.

No, it's a bath to a lot of better things.

It is not my reason for being.

That is quite obvious.

No offense to anyone, but as much as we see HC for what she is, she has the masses fooled. It would be different if she were an unknown and we had the outlets to get the message out like we did against JK. Most liberals have no problem acknowledging that a vote for Hillary is a vote for Bill. They truly see it as putting Bill Clinton back in the White House - hear this over and over again. Some even ask if Bill can legally run for VP, which he can't. So real world, people have to see that we are running against Bill/Hillary Clinton, because that's how the average voter sees it. And they are willing to give Bill another try. Hillary has a tremendous amount of name recognition. As does Obama. Would hate for either of them to be sworn in. If our candidate was running against another John Kerry, maybe a lesser known Republican candidate might have a chance. John Kerry wasn't very well known prior to his nomination, but Hillary has been on the national scene for 15 years. Real World: Whoever our candidate is, he is running against Bill Clinton via Hillary Clinton and that's how we need to campaign. Rudy vs. Bill/Hill/ 2008 Rudy will win.

Well, the same can be said about you. Aren't you ignoring GOP primary polls?

I'm not a liar.I think it's a cheap shot.

I didn't call you a liar. You said that you didn't see anything in Giuliani's past that showed that he was capable of lying. I mentioned two where he lied when he promised to be faithful and stay with his wives. Marital problems happen but that doesn't excuse a person to engage in extramarital affairs before their marriage is terminated. That is what Giuliani did. He broke his marriage vow. One of the most solemn promises a person can make. I was just pointing that out to you in response to your statement that there was nothing in Giuliani's past that would make people not trust him.

I'd give another example, but I don't know exactly what assurances he gave to President Bush about Bernie Kerik to get him to appoint him as the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Defense. Giuliani literally vouched for the unqualified, mobbed up, corrupt high school dropout. He had to have told some big ones to get Bush to appoint him. And we know how that all worked out. It was a disaster for the Bush administration. And in a time of war with the threat of terrorist attacks on American soil, fooling around with an appointment like that to head the Department of Homeland Security could have been disasterous for Americans. Just another reason not to trust what Giuliani says.

There is NO way I will put my trust in someone who has proven he can't keep a vow and who would pay for his daughter to kill his grandchild.

But you are absolutely right about your free will. You, and only you, control your own vote. So stop blaming others when you place your de facto vote for hillary. YOU decided to vote for her. No one else pulled that lever. YOU did. And step up and take responsibility for the deaths that flow from your choice. Help elect hillary clinton and babies will die, people will die, the Constitution will die, our democracy will die. And you and those who helped elect her will be responsible.

I absolutely reject your contention that not voting for Giuliani in the Republican primary will cause "deaths to flow from that choice" and that "babies will die, people will die" because I voted for a different, more acceptable Republican, in the Primary Election. I don't think that such hysterics and extreme rhetoric has any place here. I urge you to stop.

I have heard a great many conservative mothers and wives say the same thing. As far as they are concerned, a man who cannot be faithful to his wife and children cannot be trusted in other things.

I see it a bit differently. hillary clinton has 100% name recognition and at most 10% corruption-failure recognition, which means her numbers have only one way to go. And it isn't up.

The two elephants in the room are the clintons' 1 rape of Juanita Broaddrick 2 and their terrorism failure 3.

It doesn't require more than half a brain and 10% of the data to understand why this self-absorbed, noxious, vacant pair must not be allowed anywhere near the Oval Office ever again.

We must make sure the electorate get at least 10% of the data. There are ways we can do this.

And we must target the demographic missus clinton is targeting: women, and especially young, single women. I will be posting some ideas on this shortly.

For power and treasure, hillary clinton abused women and the vulnerable all her life. Now, in her final assault, she is exploiting them, abusing them yet again. We cannot allow this to happen.

Add a third elephant: the Barrett Report, i.e., the clintons' documented abuse of power.

Uh, no. I didn't make any claims of any kind.

You said that the majority here would work to see that Giuliani is elected. Obviously false.

The conservative Republican who runs on a platform similar to the one I posted above will beat Hillary. Guaranteed!

Win the war!
Secure the nation!
Secure the borders!
Rebuild the military!
Cut the budget!
Cut the spending!
Cut the taxes!
Let the free economy soar!
Defend life, liberty and individual rights!

Hillary can't touch him. I believe we'd even pull in California. Californians are tired of being overrun with illegals! And a whole lot of other states are too.

Give the voters a clear choice and they will make the right decision.
