With the bare fact being that no Republican in recent memory has been able to win a major contest without at least the tacit backing of the religious right, Rudy Guliani might be trying to buck that trend.

I think we've made no secret about the fact that we believe Rudy is the best chance against Hillary. But we've not resorted to the name calling to which we've been subjected.
If Rudy doesn't get the nomination, I'll move on and support the nominee.

But we've not resorted to the name calling to which we've been subjected. You haven't, but other pro-Rudys have.
I'm only stating that for accuracy's sake. I couldn't care less what they call me. Although it smarts a little when milady Hildy gets a tad belligerent. :^)

I don't like the dopers, the gun grabbers, the perverts or the baby killers... Mighty pious words for someone who chose the name "Sir Francis Dashwood."

I don't care who you support as long as you vote. We have never said everyone has to support Rudy. What we have complained about is getting trashed and called names because we do support Rudy who is a Republican.
We are always saying we will vote for the eventual nominee of the Republican Party but right now we prefer Rudy. We are not the ones threatening to stay home and not vote if we don't like the nominee. We will vote!

Namecalling is not helpful no matter who is doing it.

sin to vote for Giuliani
This ignores the very nature of our form of government. What I mean is that this will eventually come down to a choice between 2 candidates. At that time, one can choose to participate in the choice that counts or one can opt for a choice that will not count.

I found out the other night from the organizers of next month's Irish parade/festival that Tim Kaine will be giving a speech at the event. I guess he's some lineage to Ireland, so I was told "we had to invite him". I said, "No problem. We can leave our politics at home for that day."
I may get a photo taken with him. Do you think it'd be rude for me to ask him to do that thing with his eyebrow?

"Rudy supporters are being called RINOs, abortionists, gun-grabbers, pro-gay-agenda, liberals, leftists, socialists, Marxists and more." There's a good reason for that.

I don't think the eyebrow is optional.

There's a good reason for that. Not a very Christlike one.

You defend abortion, and dare to judge others? Beam. Mote. You know the drill.
You will never find me defending abortion. I'll wait here while you go look.
To: Corin Stormhands
"Consider this the last you'll hear from me." Is that a promise? Don't ping me again either.
