With the bare fact being that no Republican in recent memory has been able to win a major contest without at least the tacit backing of the religious right, Rudy Guliani might be trying to buck that trend.

Ok, then if he's the nominee, I will be happy to "sin."
LOL-LOL-LOL
Excuse me .. "clueless" .. I don't think so.
I think you're on the wrong thread! I'm talking about politics and you're talking about childhood games and spooks and monsters and garbage stuff like that.
Why don't you go over to the GAMING websites .. because you are definitely CLUELESS about politics!!
Either...
1) you forgot your sarcasm tag, or
2) you really are ~clueless~ because you didn't follow ~that~ conversation very well at all.
If you don't know the difference between Rudy and Hillary .. then you are voting for Hillary and you hate Rudy and can't bear the thought of him running against her.
How about that ..??
You're a fake non-supporter of Rudy - which makes you a supporter of Hillary. And .. I'm confident Hillary is terrified that Rudy will be the nominee .. and that's why all these threads on FR are so violently against him.
And .. after 8 years of that disgusting nightmare of a presidency .. even a clueless game player could figure out Hillary is not a good choice.
And .. you have proven what I said was true .. you are a child and clueless about politics.
Good bye!!
He said as he stomped off in a temper tantrum...
Typical leftist tactic, call those in opposition to liberalism "haters."
Anyone who thinks Mrs. Clinton is the be all, end all of the '08 election has already conceded defeat...
The only way the Left can win is to undermine conservatives in the Republican primary.
I receive no benefit from the same things just because they have different Madison Avenue designer labels.
I might has well vote for Bullwinkle, there isn't a dime's worth of difference between them.
Conservative evangelicals have put too much faith in politics and government to address the social problems of this country. Maybe it's time to put our emphasis where we can do the most good -- in our communities, in our churches, and in our families. What has 25 years of evangelical political activism produced? Little, from what I can see. I will still vote my convictions (which are informed by my faith), but it's also my conviction that the social issues of greatest concern to evangelicals will be resolved in the courts, not in Congress. Twelve years of Republican control of congress produced exactly what for us evangelicals?
For what it's worth, Robertson has said in the past that Giuliani would make a pretty good president.
Well .. that's your opinion and you're stuck with it.
If Rudy gets the nomination (which is not guaranteed at this point), please be my guest and don't vote for him. Then .. you'll have the joys of Hillary for President. Won't that be just lovely ..??
How many people on this thread who are belly-aching about this are even evangelical Christians?
War on terror? Where is that on your list of priority issues?
Same thing... different Madison Avenue designer label made in China or by illegals in the USA...
There is a large contingent of Freepers who frankly don't seem to support anyone. They're too disgruntled and angry with the world to care, I guess.

This from the guy who describes himself on his FR profile as "somewhat liberal on social issues...hopelessly liberal on immigration"
If Republican voters do not back Rudy or whoever the nominee is in the general, then said 'Republicans' are electing a radical socialist criminal back to the White House. Let's all back our candidates in the primary and see how things shake out. Whoever the nominee is has my vote for sure. There is not going to be any legitimate 3rd party candidate.
Well .. quite frankly .. I don't think they're "FReepers" at all .. just disgruntled disruptors!
They remind me a lot of the McCainiacs or the GoPatGo crowds from 2000.
