Associated Content ^ | February 16, 2007 | Jeff Musall

With the bare fact being that no Republican in recent memory has been able to win a major contest without at least the tacit backing of the religious right, Rudy Guliani might be trying to buck that trend.

I do have a leader to tell me how to think - Jesus Christ. All other opinions are opinions - to be weighed against what my Leader says.

So how many innocent children are you willing to sacrifice in the WOT?

Exactly. It's not like we're faced with the choice of electing Rudy or submitting to Islam. If I were to vote based solely on the WOT, McCain would be the clear choice. I might not think much of him as a Republican, but when it comes to defense he's a serious hawk with a service record to boot.

Agreed, but the libs will go nuts because you are so delusional as to think that God actually talks to you. Of course, it is fun to watch them get spastic over things like that!

Well, yes, there's that ever-present slander of being "easily led sheep" from the Godless left, who cannot or will not understand the concept of eternal truth. I was speaking to mistaken presumptions coming from those who are not abject in their disdain for all things Christian.

Yes, but on the 10th day he might wake up and decide that honest government is more important.

I don't see any evidence of him splitting the left

I don't see any evidence of him splitting the right either.

A pack of hissy fitters on FR means completely nothing. Rudy is polling very well in the south . He even leads in Alabama. There is no data supporting a split.

"Zarf" is the name of a character on a soap opera, who is a transsexual rock musician. Sort of a peculiar handle for a conservative site, isn't it?

I have All My Children beat by a decade or so.

I hope you're merely referring to your FR handle.

Absolutely!
1COR 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of GOD

Evangelicals are whining because they are not having their asses kissed?

Oh. So that's all that Reagan and the two Bushes were about? This is quite an audacious move on Rudy's part. Basically giving the finger to the religious right.

He has begun the digging of his own grave.

Of course. I think a girdle would cramp the naughty bits.

It isn't like tossing the finger at the religious right so much as it is like tossing a kiss toward the cino bloc who usually vote democrat. Oddly, this may work in favor of retaking a few House and Senate seats in '08, if the cinos go and vote for Rudy and those he campaigns with/for.

Tennessee Republicans will vote every spot on the ticket but may leave the prez choice blank.

The wife and I agree that we cannot under any foreseeable circumstances vote for Rudy. So there's two more Tennesseans - the state which denied Al Gore the Oval office.

Evangelicals say they would rather have Hillary.

That canard is getting old. I believe you mean that anyone that refuses to join the Rudy bandwagon wants the Beast to be President. That is untrue and unfair.

And voted Bredesen into office at the same time ... poking a finger even further into al goreghoul's eye! [We need to do something about that Bredesen thingy, however. Perhaps the Pubbies will offer a real alternative, like Ed Bryant.]

Hillary will offer him(Giuliani) a job in her administration because they believe alike on so many issues.. Giuliani believes the way Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, and Bwany Fwank does also..

WAIT and see..
