Oh crap...I'm gonna die. Guess I better go home and down 2-3 shots of Jagermeister. I needed an excuse to go home early for the day.

To assist in this endeavor, FDA has sent investigators to ConAgra's processing plant in Sylvester, Georgia where the products are made to review records, collect product samples and conduct tests for Salmonella Tennessee. This is algore's fault, not Dubya's.

Yikes! I found one in my cupboard this morning that my son has been eating out of all week. Luckily, no effects yet.

This is not remotely Tony Snow related, but judging by the responses on this thread, a lot of FReepers are finding this stuff and some have gotten sick.
A couple of my friends may have gotten sick from this, as well.
I apologise for the Ping List abuse, but this may be more serious than your typical food scare.

Peanut butter is the one food product that really suffers when you compare leading brands to off-brands. I don't know why...it just is.
To: Buddy B
I just ate some peanut butter yesterday (opened a brand new jar). Looked at the brand in the cupboard...Peter Pan with the 2111!
I'm also 6.5 weeks pregnant--haven't been sick from either the peanut butter or the baby :)

We had two jars of the stuff with the 2111 code number, one almost empty jar and another full jar. No more Peter Pan for a long time.

My brother and sister-in-law in Atlanta had 4 jars of PB, and my mother in Wake Forest had 1 jar of PB. This is huge!

UNRELATED HEALTH-ALERT PING
I wouldn't abuse my topical ping lists except reading the thread it appears MANY MANY FReepers have LOTS of these coded peanut butter jars at home. Please check yours to be on the safe side (and tell everyone you know!), and if you already knew about this alert, apologies!

Just called my son and asked him to check the number on his peanut butter. It was the right number. He has already eaten alot of it.
To: Buddy B
Ooops! Just went and looked at our nearly empty peanut butter and it's one being recalled. Thank goodness it wasn't one with the problem because I'm having a difficult recovery from stomach surgery from last June. (I now weigh a grand total of 81 pounds!)
