Little Dick Durbin is kicking off the show. Comparing Obama to Honest Abe. Surreal.
I was hoping Uncle "hic" Teddy would do the introduction and mess up his name again, so the media can once again blame Rush for Teddy's botched alliteration.

I haven't been this excited since Harold Stassen's announcement.

Also I have noticed that some people prefer to go by winning by losing no matter who the rats run..

What is the most frightening to me is the way our country is right now.
With help from the MSM and the dems, it seems like a lot of Americans are looking for something to distract them from the WAR...so they have let the culture of CELEBRITY take TOO much of a high profile in our country.
OBAMA is a celebrity, not a serious politician/legislator....Hillary, whether we like it or not...is a celebrity with the biggest WASH celebrity being her husband...so in her case, Americans would get a "two-fer"...
If Americans are going to VOTE for POTUS with the celebrityitis that we see with the Anna Nicole coverage and all...the we will end up with a NOT SERIOUS election.
Unfortunately, the GOP has no ROCK STAR...even Rudy, who I would consider the closest thing to one, is SO NOT what a lot of conservatives want...that he can't possibly be the GOP equivalent of an OBAMA or a CLINTON.

Hillary will eat Obama alive in the primaries.A visual that is strangely compelling and repulsive at the same time.

the MSM has made him a ROCK STAR You know it. There actually giving up valuable Anna Nicole Smith coverage time for him.

When Obama announces that he will repeal the Treaty and vacate Federal easements on private property then I will listen some. He has a great voice and an uninspired scriptwriter.

BS. Alan Keyes is one of the brightest, most articulate men in America. And he's one of the few who has consistently stood for the principles FR stands for. Knock it off.

Sorry, I just don't see it. I see a hack politician reciting meaningless platitudes. BJ Clinton was head and shoulders over this guy when it came to political theater and BS.

I thought he'd be a lot better than this. He's actually dull and shallow. That's bound to become apparent to everyone eventually. Media hype will only take you so far.

That's not what happened, but I'll give you a pass since you obviously get your information from liberal media talking points.

Your comment leads me to believe that you may have already jumped on Obama's bandwagon You must be joking. How could anything I've said lead you to think I'd vote for this empty, Dim, suit. Why the heck would I be on FR if I was amenable to voting Dim just because the liberal, racist, press holds him up as some kind of savior? I'm shocked you even suggested it.
I think it is unrealistic to believe that we operate without bias. People need to do recognize their biases and realize how they affect thinking. I have no problem saying right here and now that I am biased against an African, a muslim, trading on the accomplishments and sufferings of black Americans.
I wrote a long response that was pretty testy that I've erased. I'll just leave it at people have a right to their opinions and biases and I don't vote for Dims, black, white, green, or purple, male or female.

He is a true African American and has not shared the black American experience. Skin color does not get him a pass.
Important observation.
When he was Barry Soetoro, Obama was in a different culture. He was in Muslim living in Indonesia during the Viet Nam period.
When he became Barack Hussein Obama, he spent 6 years in a prep school that educated the sons and daughters of Hawaiin patricians and where he indulged in drugs.

I just saw an advertisement o C-span...saying that Obama will be on New Hampshire on Monday.
IIRC, he has a JOB in Washington that has Monday as a work day...
Are we, as taxpayers, going to just sit back and watch maybe 10 Senators use time that WE pay for with our taxes, as campaigning time, instead of doing what Bob Dole did..and give up their Senate seat to campaign?
I am serious...last week, McCain was in S. Carolina campaigning and missed the cloture vote on the Iraq war resolution...that is just WRONG!
I think it is time for the "taxation without representation" calls to start going out.
To: KevinDavis
You said "we can control Congress"...
what makes you say that??
We are not now...why do you think we will in 2008?
To: ken5050
Are you sure they will be there??
I keep hearing that Clinton and Obama are saying they will not participate in the early debates...
To: Txsleuth
that is just WRONG!
It's also the way it is.

"They can be beat .. but only if our side wakes up"
And that's the problem. Our side is still shell shocked from the Nov 2006 election. Not one person has stepped forward to take the ball for the GOP, not one. For example, The GOP should be having a field day with the Pelosi plane flap. But they are not going after her like the Rats would if she were a Republican. And they (and ,the MSM) would not care one bit if the speaker was a woman or not. That's why the GOP will not go after her full throttle. They don't want to be labeled as sexists, afraid of strong women, etc.
Then, to top it off, we have these idiot senators like Hagel, Colemen, etc., that are trying to undermine the President with these bogus resolutions in the Senate and likewise their will be some spineless ones in the House that will do the same.
When the GOP learns to lead and not give a Rats ass what the MSM says about them and stops trying to get on the good side of the Rats, they will win elections again. Until then, it is not going to happen. So get ready for Rat wins in 2008 and 2010.
