On right now...
LOL!
There, you got me.
"Yes. I believe that many many people became conservatives that day."
You don't know how true those words are.
Truthfully though, I started coming around during Clinton 2 after the first WTC bombing.
After that I did a lot of soul searching about my liberal views.
Then on 9/11, as I sat at my desk and the first plane roared over my building, I knew something life changing was happening.
Ten seconds later I was looking up at an inferno and I knew then and there that we were now at war and life would never be the same.
The courageous firefighters and policemen that I saw rushing into the WTC and who would not make it out alive changed me forever.
The horror of witnessing the people jumping from 100 floors up changed me forever.
9/11/01 is the day I renounced liberalism once and for all and I will never forget that.
Watching the re-run now...
Great post, NAN!!
You need to keep reminding us of that!!
Yes he will.
Im pro-choice. Im pro-gay rights, Giuliani said. He was then asked whether he supports a ban on what critics call partial-birth abortions. No, I have not supported that, and I dont see my position on that changing, he responded. Source: CNN.com, Inside Politics Dec 2, 1999 http://www.ontheissues.org/2008/Rudy_Giuliani_Abortion.htmANDERSON COOPER 360 DEGREES (November 14, 2006)
RUDY GIULIANI (R), FORMER MAYOR OF NEW YORK CITY: I'm pro- choice. I'm pro-gay rights.KING: Giuliani supports a woman's right to an abortion, and back in 1999, he opposed a federal ban on late-term abortions.
GIULIANI: No, I have not supported that, and I don't see my position on that changing.
KING: Immigration could be another presidential landmine. Back in 1996, Mayor Giuliani went to federal court to challenge new federal laws requiring the city to inform the federal government about illegal immigrants.
JEFFREY: He took the side of illegal immigrants in New York City against the Republican Congress.
KING: Giuliani opposes same-sex marriage but as mayor, he supported civil unions and extending health and other benefits to gay couples. He also supported the assault weapons ban and other gun control measures opposed by the National Rifle Association.
GIULIANI: I'm in favor of gun control. I'm pro-choice.
Republican Big-Wigs Support Pro-Abortion Event in NY
Pro-abortion Governor George Pataki and New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who also supports unrestricted abortion, are co-chairs of the 2000 Choice Award Presentation to be held on May 30 at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City. The event is sponsored by the Republican Pro-Choice Coalition, a group that is campaigning for the removal of the pro-life plank from the Republican National Platform.

What a great $.02 cents! Very well said and expressed what I believe. I have said it so many times that without winning the WOT, we won't have to worry about social issues. When Rudy said tonight that they want to kill us, he is 100% correct and why that issue should be at the top of everyone's priority list IMHO.
Once again -- terrific post!
Yes, I saw the interview earlier. Watching it a second time now.
I hope others are watching it. It is thrilling watching the next president of the United States!
We went through hell that day and we weren't even there.
very good $.02
Nah. But you support a RINO.
Make that two happy people.
I am really excited about him running!
"And we have quite a few Rudy supporters here too, including a couple of new converts!! The tide is turning!!"
Clintonian Moral Relativism has come of age. "Hey, Rudy ain't that bad." He isn't true to his wives, his faith, or apparently, his convictions... Pro abort, anti-gun, pro-gay union, pro-illegal immigrant, he spun all of them, but at least he's a fiscal conservative. At least he's not Hillary! That's moral relativism. Let's get a REAL conservative.
Past my bedtime. I'm outta here.
God bless all!
I'm thrilled that we just saw the next president of the United States tonight!!!
Feels good doesn't it? He covered all the issues and laid it out for all to see. This is one night I am turning in earlier and going to bed happy not irritated like I have been recently! :)
Haven't I saw this about 20 times aday for the last month?
