No matter HOW many times that is posted, someone always brings up the same old lame garbage. :-(

Ah, just because Rudy talks like a wannabe Likudnik doesn't mean he has the mental capacity to organize a winning strategy.

The man would probably cringe if he ever touched a firearm, were sent into combat, or, which is most likely, faced with the complexities of the emerging international system.

We need someone who is realistic and brutal. Not some wannabe for that island off the coast of America who mouths platittudes about "standing up for Democracy."

No, that is not true at all. Rudy was diagnosed DURING the campaign and since his father died from prostate cancer, at an early age, treating it immediately was NOT something that could or should have been put off.

During Rudy's terms as mayor, the welfare rolls were massively reduced and the double dippers found and charged and put on trial and convicted.

Thanks to welfare reform, enacted at the Federal level. Rudy the Media Whore merely took credit for it, just as he did the "war on crime," without giving credit for the late great Jack Maple for the latter.

New York remains a SOCIALIST LIBERAL SEWER, no matter what the Rudybots say.

Your bizarre posts are a bit difficult to decipher.

Who, which announced candidate fits the description you claim we "need"? McCain, Romney, Brownback, Huckabee, Hunter, Tancredo, or Paul?

1. Fiscal Conservative? You mean like a tiny tax cut that did NOTHING to break NYs addiction to the welfare state, to say nothing of kissing the a-s of the police unions?

Rudy kept a hard line on raises to all municipal employees and CUT city jobs, which is unheard of in liberal NY to balance a city budget that was structurally unsound thanks to Dinkins/Koch and a litany of Rats that ran NYC into the ground. The cops did get a raise, but you know what, they did an excellent job and deserved a raise.

"Law and Order" is not a conservative issue. You and I as citizens preserve law and order, not some greasy politician and some donut munchers from Staten Island and Orange County.

Please, Republicans are harder on crime and criminals than bleeding heart libs. Republicans believe more in detterrance than recidivisim for criminals. Believe in harsh sentences for criminal behavior and believe in the death penalty. Most liberals do not. Rudy does.

Foreign Policy? Aside from schmoozing with the Likudniks, Rudy has about as much foreign policy knowledge as Silvestre Reyes.

Rudy gets the global war against terror and is best suited to continue the fight. Not a single politician was closer to he burning WTC site than Rudy. Beforehand, he knew that terrorists like Arafat should be International pariahs. And he was the mayor of the city that is the home of the (evil) U.N. and a city that has more ethnic groups than any other.

Rudy is a Republican. Not a perfect one, but I challenge you to name one that is.

I do understand that, Jim. What I don't understand is why placing a de facto vote for hillary is somehow viewed as the less repugnant option.

Vote third party, sit home, and you are placing a de facto vote for someone who will not only kill babies in the womb, she will, with her dangerous and self-serving policy, kill generations of babies not yet even imagined.

An additional irony: This is a woman who wants to crush the religious right.

WHY THE RELIGIOUS RIGHT MUST MOBILIZE AGAINST HILLARY:
CLINTON CONFLATES EVANGELICAL CHRISTIANS AND ISLAMO-FASCIST TERRORISTS

AFTERWORD: A Note to the Religious Right

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight, I see, anyone, David Dinkins too, I presume, would have had the same results Rudy did, if they had been mayor instead. Is that what you're claiming?

If Rudy is the nominee, he will get my vote. The alternative is unspeakable!

Thanks SJB. Mega-dittos your statement.

Personally, I think a Rudy/Newt ticket would make a lot of sense for a lot of reasons: Newt is a historian. He is a conservative. Newt was the reason why we regained majority of the House and the Senate. Newt was the author of Contract with America. Not only is he a historian, but is well reasoned, logical, and well spoken.

Rudyn is tough as nails. He told that Arab bastard to take his $10m and shove it after 9-11.

Rudy won't put up with any PC crap in dealing with the bastards that blew up his city.

Now... the reason why a Rudy/Newt ticket makes sense to me is:

Newt will schmooze Rudy in a more conservative posture politically, and philosophically. Newt can do undercover work inside the beltway to work on cutting spending in all the pork crap that's evolved since the Roosevelt era.

Newt will have no disagreement in strong measures against Islam due to his hsitorical perspective on those stone age Islamic animals.

Obviously, there is no single entity who is the "ideal" President.

But from the first priority, national security, this ticket makes the most sense to me.

All other issues take a back seat until the primary objective is well underway. The sub-set to the overseas WOT is border sealing against illegal aliens aka "undocumented immigrants." If Achmed swims across the Rio Grnade, then we're kidding ourselves. As it was, 19 of the towel heads that flew planes into our building were here legally initially. The Feds were to lazy and lackadazical to f/u with the visa thingy.

Just my $.02.

Double-reinforced American made Nomex, Goretex and Hazmat suits on.

If he didn't have ethical issues of his own, Newt would be my choice. Romney is a great manager, and level headed on most issues, but a flip flopper who believes in giving away medical care at my expense. Jeb would be a great choice (as he SUCCEEDED IN CUTTING GOVERNMENT, UNLIKE SOCIALIST LITE RUDY), but his last name is Bush so he is out.

In other words, we are f-cked. Maybe someone like Frank Keating could be convinced to run, but I am not holding my breath. Nor will I vote for a rootless cosmopolitan of questionable ethics, no matter what the Murdoch press says.

So don't vote and let a real socialst - Hitlery - win. Kinda smart. Worked real well for us in 2006 when we lost the House and the Senate. Just let the Executive branch go too and watch the whole Conservative agenda go instead of just the parts where Rudy leans left.

Sadly, even though this is a political forum, not everyone knows nor understands what politics is all about, nor do they know all that much factual history.

Yes, we know you're the smartest person that has ever strode the planet, and that, next to you, everyone else is a mere ant. How do we know this? Well, because you've told us ten thousand times...

Keating would be a great VEEP for Rudy and they are friends.

Nobody on FR is going to "draft", nor even "convince" someone to enter the GOP primary.

If you stay home or vote fringe, you are tacitly giving not only aid and comfort to whomever the Dem candidate is, but actually helping that person win.

We get it, we all get it.....you HATE Rudy.

Let's see:

Latin America: Aside from putting in time at some cholo festivals in Queens, Rudy has indicated as much knowledge of our neighbors to the south as, well, the average chump on a barstool, not much. Its telling that he was close to Herman Badillo, a man who, judging from his recent book and his speeches, is a mental midget who believes his Nuyorican background applies to the rest of the hemisphere. I am leading off with LA because the region is the one most immediately in our sphere of influence, and also because it where I have worked and traveled (as well as studied) the most.

2. The Middle East: Rudy's knowledge of this region appears to consist only of Likud party talking points regurgitated second hand from the Sidecurl and Kippah Mafia in Brooklyn. Nevertheless, I'm sure he is probably more knowledgable about this region than LA.

3. Europe: Being a Eurocon in terms of outlook and poltics, more so than a rock ribbed American conservative, Rudy should relate well to the likes of Sarkozy and Merkel. So he gets points here.

4. Asia: Being that this is THE emerging region in terms of economic and poltical power, with two countries likely to emerge as the counterbalance in the emerging bi/multipolar world, I hope that Rudy is studying these areas more than he did in the insular environment of his administration.

Hannity: New York City had some of the toughest gun laws in the country. Do you support the right of people to carry handguns?

Giuliani: “I understand the second amendment. People have the right to bear arms. As mayor of New York I took over at a very, very difficult time.”

Hannity: You inherited the gun laws in New York.

Giuliani: “Yeah. And I used them to help bring down homicide. We reduced homicide I think by 65, 70%. And some of it was by taking guns out of the streets of New York City. So if you are talking about a city like New York, a densely populated area like New York, I think it's appropriate. You might have different laws other places and maybe a lot of this gets resolved based on different states, different communities, making decisions. We do have a federal system of government in which you have the ability to accomplish that.”

Hannity: So you would support the state's rights to choose on specific gun laws?

Giuliani: “Yeah”

Hannity: Generally speaking do you think it's acceptable if citizens have the right to carry a handgun?

Giuliani: “It's not only a part of the constitution. People have the right to bear arms. Then the restrictions have to be reasonable and sensible. You can't just remove that right. You've got to regulate consistent with the second amendment.”

.
