A carpenter who walked in on a man allegedly touching himself beside a little boy in a Tyngsboro ice rink lavatory Saturday swept the child to safety, then wrestled the weirdo to the ground during a brutal bathroom brawl.

Yep. Parents please remember never let your child go to a public restroom by him/her self. Places that cater to children and families are targets of opportunity for pervs.
Be sure to teach your children how to scream very, very loudly if anyone behaves inappropriately around them. And please do not mince words when you tell your children just what is inappropriate.

The drunks and dopers don't bother me so much, it's the pervs-faggots that do. They are either hitting on young boys, committing perverted acts (that's not "sex" by any standard) in the toilet stalls, or trying to get off by getting a look at you urinating.
These sicko's are using public restrooms to sexually harass/molest anyone who walks into them, and should be arrested for loitering in public washrooms. If the law fails to protect citizens, then citizens have to protect themselves.

I'd feel a little more comfortable with this if the alleged perv was known to have a record as a sex offender -- and maybe he does. But as it is, everything seems to rest on the carpenter's word. Sometimes the 'hero' at a fire turns out to be the arsonist.
Where's that mohel when you need one?
Let's look at the timeline - enough time elapses for one guy to go upstairs complaining, and the carpenter to go back down there and find him - with 'matters still in hand', so to speak.
Unless he has a serious prostate problem - he ought to have been done with business by then, one would think.
I'd guess that things are as they appear - a perv hanging around the bathroom looking for thrills. Besides, the cops did arrest the guy - I would hope that they did little investigation and assessment to ensure that they weren't compounding a miscarriage of justice.

I can't believe that place is still open. I used to go there with my Brownie troop a million years ago, when roller skating to Celebration by Kool and the Gang was the epitome of excitement.
Glad this guy caught the perv. Even way back when it was a rather sketchy place for a hang out. Or maybe that was just the late 70's atmosphere.
