Bump to that -- see my tagline!

How long before we are told we are not Republicans again because we support Rudy?

Newt YES, Rudy NO. Voting for Rudy is not a whole lot better than voting for a Democrat.

Newt Gingrich, on the other hand, is the complete package. To be honest, I think he's unbeatable. The guy is brilliant. You name the subject.... terrorism, healthcare, borders, taxes, education, etc...... and he has a solution. I've never been excited about a potential candidate like I am about Newt. The thought of him in a debate with Hillary or Edwards, just makes me smile.

For the many Newt-doubters here..... please go to his site and sign up for his "Winning the Future" weekly newsletter, and read what he has to say each week. There is a reason he's polling so high, even though he hasn't announced he's running.

I like Newt but I think he's unelectable in either spot. Make him Rudy's Karl Rove -- that's where Newt can shine: the idea guy and the guy who can help translate things into political nuggets.

As for Rudy: he's clearly the most able "leader" in the field. He's proven his leadership ability in the massive turnaround of NYC and then the personal fortitude and bravery around 9-11. Imagine a president who could give a press conference every day without worry that he'll screw it up or flub a talking point.

While I would never ever ever "hope" for this: with the Dems swinging to retreat, imagine if there is another terrorist attack on our soil between now and election 2008. Shrillery and the rest would be up the creek without a paddle -- and people would be begging for a strong leader to take over the leadership RESPONSILITIES on the War on Terror that has the Dems so terrified at the prospect.
