Sure am glad to see Tony Dungy finally win a Superbowl. A good man, a class act, and unfairly had the "couldn't win the big one" tag for years. This really should be considered his second SB win as a coach, Gruden took Dungy's team to a win the year after Tony was fired. After his first season Tony had 5 winning seasons at Tampa Bay, but after Gruden's first year there 3 of the next 4 years Gruden's teams have had a losing record.

Mr. Skinnerville is not as smooth on TV as his wife.

How could they give the MVP to Manning? Grossman clearly had the most impact on the game. But it is kinda heartwarming to know how Peyton has inspired dorks across the country.

This year had many more good commercials, but none that were great. Sad robot stood out, Coke had some misses but at least they were creative and tried something different, and as usual most of the beer ones were funny. Especially the ESL class, auction wedding, ax & chainsaw (OK, it could be seen a mile away, but still was funny) and the best overall was probably the mud Dalmation smearing the beauty queen.

Dumbest commercial? Go-Daddy. Plastic-boobed collagen-lipped leather-skinned STD factories just don't do anything for me.

Yes, today had historical significance, but some of the PC a$$-kissing in the commercials got really old quick. Though I admit to being educated by the Coke/Doritos one before the half, we had no idea that apparently this was the first NFL game that African-American families were allowed to watch on TV.

Prince and the Florida A&M band totally blew the house down! Nothing will top U2 in 2001 (I'll never forget the aura of the 9/11 names scrolling to the ceiling during 'Where the Streets Have No Name') but this was probably the next best SB halftime show. EVAH! Awesome, and we also learned that Prince is the love child of Aunt Jemima and Little Richard. Kinda fitting that such an odd duck knocks out a halftime show when a goofball was winning the game. Prince's performance was awesome, and the weather only added to it.

Oh yeah, we got another nice game, too. Indy defense really stepped up in the post-season, and the Bears should be proud of how far they came without a QB. So which team was the last to beat Indy? Houston Texans! (But they'll be forever cursed for passing on Vince Young.)

Don't be shocked if the Cowboys make a play for Lovie Smith. They can probably get Rivera, but Chicago might just view him as the wonderboy and keep him over Smith (who grew up a couple hours east of Dallas and has said that Dallas is a dream job.) He'd be torn about leaving his players (unlike many phony ladder-climbing coaches,) still has a year on his contract (meaning Chicago would demand compensation,) and the Bears have said resigning him is their highest priority, so it might be a long-shot. Being a Cowboy-hater, I hope that they hire Norv Turner, because he will never win a SB as a head coach.

Dang how I hate when football season ends.

Oh yeah, the Cirque de Silly was kinda so-so, but the music was great. I've never understood why Latin rhythms haven't caught on more. And Gloria Estefan will always be the Queen.

Well said!!!!! I'm sure he'll be talking to his son(forgot his name)and probably take a hat to his gravesite so that he can be a part of the celebration.
Guys like Tony, Lovie, Jeff Fisher and John Fox-Coaches who aren't about to put the spotlight on themselves, and know how important the "team" concept is give the NFL a welcome change in an otherwise "me" game.

Class act by Irsay too. First thing out of his mouth was to remember the tragedy in Central Florida and that the team will provide resources to those in need.

I won't get into any Rex bashing. If Trent Dilfer could win a SB, then Rex can too. It looked like youth got in the way of his head tonight. After the long play to Muhammed, he probably should not have gone back to that well again on the very next play. And that awful pass to Berrian is a case of trying to be too perfect and he put too much air under that pass and we all know the rest.

The better team won tonight, no doubt!! Peyton's got his ring, a new Caddy and more endorsements than he can ever imagine. Meanwhile, here in Cleveland we have...........................A BUNCH OF CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!

So I was a little off in my prediction(post 57) 29-17 vs. 31-17. But that doesn't feel as bad as those who took the over(48) and saw Indy pass on a 35-yard field goal!!!!!!

CONGRATS COLTS!!!!!!

I think it will be Norv at head coach, with Singletary as defensive coordinator. They both were together with the Niners, so I think it's a good package. You've got coaches in waiting if Norv fails, with Garrett and Singletary.
