While I dislike Dark Skies political stance, he was always metered. I doubt he's banned, and hope it's just a suspension for something silly.

I would like to hear their choices as well.

For obvious reasons, I strongly suspect that most Giuliuliani supporters are hoping that Hillary will be our next president.

DS got just a little out of bounds, rhetorically. A few poorly-placed slurs and so forth

..this is way it's been with several folks for a couple of days.

Hopefully everybody will think twice before they turn words loose--no matter how long they've been here--don't forget who the enemy is...

the problem is the general election is 22 months away. Everyone that is running hasn't announced yet. But that hasn't stopped the fans of rudy and romney from pronouncing, with much certainty, that they're the only ones that can win.

Declaring that at this point is idiotic. It's nothing more than popularity and personality at this point for support. They lambaste any conservative candidate because 'nobody knows them' before one single debate or campaign dollar has been spent promoting them.

The whole mentality of YOU MUST NAME WHO YOU SUPPORT NOW! is ridiculous at this point. But what is known at this point is :
1. the positions of the declared candidates
2: how those positions play with the power base of the republican party, and
3: what happens to the republican party when RINOs run for national office.

Those things ARE known and are the things that MUST be brought to light and discussed at this point before 2008 becomes a RINO trainwreck. The problem is the rudy / romney fans either don't want to address them, say they don't matter, or complain when they're brought up.

"Rudy Any Republican will be torn to pieces by the press - count on it.

That's better."

That's true. So ask yourself why the MSM supports rinos like mccain and rudy now when they'd rip them in the general election?

I'm guessing that you KNOW it, but that you were just being snarky. If I am wrong, then the answer is, YES, you need to to
know FR slanguage to be able to understand and communicate; though not "to belong".

Rudy has too much to use as distraction - distraction is the method

That's why we should draft Tony Snow

He knows himself, he's knows the press, he knows the issues,
I could go on - but the battle of words is what will determine
this election

Can you please explain, in detail, why you believe that Hunter has a "reasonable chance to win

I define 'reasonable chance' as someone who is: (1) not 'radioactive to the MSM and general public, (2) has values consistent with his party, (3) looks good in a suit and is articulate, (4) has a distinguished service record, (5) has a consistent conservative voting record, (6) has not put his foot in his mouth, and (7) does not have a know family or ethics scandal.

I included Hunter in a handful of candidates that meet the above, or are the current media darlings. That being said, I think Hunter has a slim but reasonable chance, but a lot will happen in the next 1.5 years.

Your detailed thoughts please.

Not any Republican.

But, if Hillary is the candidate, she will lose.

"yet, people come onto these threads and guarantee a Hillary loss, no matter who the republican candidate is.

what data are you using to make this guarantee?"

My own experience. I know not one person who would vote for her. I do know four people that would vote for Obama.

She will not be President. I will eat a can of Spam for you if I am wrong.

What's snarky?

I doubt very much if I could communicate better with you, than I have already tried. It's not communication you really want.

Wanted to make it so everyone sees this. Would also hope that Freepers that keep hitting abuse let the debate continue without Freepers fearing they will be banned.

Agreed entirely. It's Republican Rutting Season now, so everyone needs a little more open space.

People get beat up and hurt (myself included) as we all wish to pass along our ideals to that putrid public sector. Big fish eat little fish. Life goes on.
