WHY AM I SKEPTICAL ABOUT MAN-MADE GLOBAL WARMING?

A 21-page report from something called the "Intergovernmental Panel On Climate Change" has been released today...in Paris, no less...and as expected, it's predictions are dire. According to the report: "Warming of the climate system is unequivocal, as is now evident from observations of increases in global average air and ocean temperatures, widespread melting of snow and ice, and rising global mean sea level." Yeah right...we've heard all this before.

But the biggest bombshell here is this one: no matter what we do, global warming will not be reversed. It will go on for centuries, according to this report. The sea levels will continue to rise as polar ice caps melt. So I guess if Al Gore wins his Nobel Peace Prize, we'll still experience global warming. So much for riding to work everyday in your hybrid car...it's not doing a thing. The situation is futile, according to this report.

But really, it makes sense that the global warming crowd would come to this conclusion. After all, global warming is a religion. The anti-capitalist enviro-nazis don't ever want the problem to be solved. After all, if global warming were to be solved tomorrow, what would they blame the United States for? They'd have to find some other reason.

Sorry .. I'm still a skeptic. In no particular order here are just a few of the reasons why I'm not buying this man-made global warming scare:

The United Nations is anti-American and anti-Capitalist. In short .. I don't trust them. Not a bit. The UN would eagerly engage in any enterprise that would weaken capitalist economies around the world.

"I'd really like to hear some level headed scientific responsee to this report."

Today is February 2nd, and you know what that means: If Al Gore sees his shadow we're in for more global warming. If Al doesn't see his shadow, we're in for more global warming.

I see a perfect correlation between funding and fear-mongering.

Mars has been shown to be warming! Why? Because solar output has been increasing, and we also seem to have moved into a region of space in which there is much less intervening dust or so I've read.

Perhaps the angel of Revelations has begun pouring out his vial upon the sun. Perhap our sun is really a variable. Can't blame Bush for this one!

Sounds like that Texas politician who said about rape:

"If there is nothing you can do about it might as well lay back an enjoy it!"

Here's a joke:

A warming globe, a terrorist, Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny are standing in the four corners of a square room...in the middle of the room is a $100 bill...who gets to the bill first?

The terrorist, because the other three are figments of your imagination!

Why, living with danger is part of living. The day after 911 an airplane full of little old ladies would have kicked the asses of box cutter wielding Muslims. We don't cower in fear because a bunch of Muslims hate us. I'm a Christian, I expect to be hated by the likes of them, it's their job description.

Have you read "State of Fear" by Michael Crichton. Great book and incredibly well documented for a novel.

Since there is nothing at all we can do about it ... immediately de-fund all research in this area, cancel all RFPs for anything related to innovative solutions to the problem, all government spending and grants should be discontinued, and the Kyoto treaty placed firmly into the nearest paper shreader.

Then pop open a cold beer to help cool off ...

"The anti capitalist enviro Nazis don't ever want the global warming problem solved."
Precisely, just go and look at all those tax exempt organizations.
It goes from global conferences to a spouting Chiraq with his royally subsidized agriculture loyalists to taxpayer funded local US entities, including all those professors sitting things out at their respective University chairs.
These taxpayer funds have swelled dramatically and provide levels of incomes and existences for a cause and effect theory which created fierce adherents based on their elevated standards of living at such tax exempt status.
Long live global warming, long live tax exemptions.
p.s. Media's support is thorough, and so is their quest for sensationalisms to delay readership shrinkages.
