FOX News Poll: Voters Most Comfortable With Rudy Giuliani as President

More voters say they would be comfortable with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani as president than other top 2008 contenders, though majorities would also be comfortable with other leaders from both parties, according to the latest FOX News Poll. In addition, of all the 2008 hopefuls — announced or frequently mentioned as a possibility — voters want to hear more from one candidate specifically: Illinois Sen. Barack Obama.

Opinion Dynamics Corporation conducted the national telephone poll of 900 registered voters for FOX News from January 30 to January 31. The poll has a 3-point error margin.

Lets see your facts to back up your accusation.

Posting the word "nonsense" in all its different variations, is a clear indicator that you have no facts to post. They don't exist. And I know they don't exist. Therefore, you've lost the debate. All you can do is whine and cry.

You do realize that most people just turn you off."

I look forward to narses' posts - very EFFECTIVE and I guess that's what bugs you, eh?

Yes, they are effective. Every time I see them, in all their dullness and repetition, I am more persuaded to consider Rudy.

"Where's that Duncan Hines feller?"

Here he is, and it's spelled HUNTER. Nice 2nd amendment name, eh?

"by John Hawkins

I can tell you from talking to Hunter that he is VERY PASSIONATE about building a fence on the border and about any and all things related to the military.

Earlier this week, I did a phone interview with Congressman Duncan Hunter, a former Chairman of the Armed Services Committee and a former ranger in Vietnam, who is one of the Republican contenders vying for the presidency in 2008. What follows is an edited transcript of our conversation.
PS: I can tell you from talking to Hunter that he is VERY PASSIONATE about building a fence on the border and about any and all things related to the military. He also seems to have a pretty good sense of humor.

DUNCAN HUNTER, a CONSERVATIVE for a change.

You lost any credibility I might have given you credit for having, long ago. No, you are and will continue to lose any shred of credibility with anyone who is now reading this back and forth between us.

You completely ignored what I wrote to you, in response to your questions. You did NOT respond to a single thing in my reply; not a one and you still aren't.

The ONLY reason you are now even mentioning my reply, without giving me the benefit of a civil and thoughtful reply to a single point, is because I shamed you into it.

What in my response do you completely disagree with and why. Please answer my question in detail and with facts. Anything else will just continue to erode not only your credibility, but make you look foolish.

I am not a RINO.

Rudy is not a RINO either.

You do not know the meaning of the term and should refrain from using and abusing it.

No, you aren't "blunt", you're back tracking now. You meant it as a personal attack on everyone and anyone who has anything even remotely "nice" to say about Rudy.

You offended me by asking a question and then ignoring my well thoughout, carefully written, factual reply. You are rude; pardon my bluntness, but that IS what you are.

You ares playing a childish game.............ask a question, ign ore what is written to you, but use the response as a jumping off point to make a smarmy, completely off that topic crack.

I have worked to get Conservative and not quite so Conservative GOP candidates eleceted for most of my life. I've even worked on campaigns in largely DEM areas and/or states and helped to get the GOPer elected. Don't you ever assume that your bona fides are better than mine or anyone else's here on FR!

YOU, NOR I HAVE NO IDEA WHO YOU ARE POSTING TO, UNLESS YOU KNOW THEM OFF FR!

And I've found that most people who brag about what they are, who they know, and/or what they've done, on a thread, are frauds.

Calling me and or others here a RINO, doesn't help you any and only proves that you are losing the debate.

Go ahead, call Rudy a RINO, but you are wrong. You can call him a pomegranate, for all the good it'll do you. LOL

>>>>>He's traveled all over the country, last year, WITH HILLARY, helping her to push her HILLARY CARE PART 2.

That is what you posted tonight. Its what you've been posting for quite some time now. Its a falsehood. Its a total fabrication of your imagination. You have no facts to back it up and for good reason. Those facts don't exist. I know its a fabrication and so do you.

You've lost the debate. ALL you can do now is whine and cry. You're so arrogant, you don't know when to back off and heal your self inflicted wounds. Keep it up. I'm enjoying every minute of your juvenile rants.

If your asking whether or not I feel it to be inappropriate for the President of the United States to dress up like a woman my answer would be yes.

So you wouldn't vote for Condi?

I don't. Never have either.

We all know this. Nothing new.

Let's try something else. On Sept 12, 2001 Rudy came out with a very strong stance against the terrorists. He came out and led the people of New York through a crisis of incredible magnitude.

On that day, would you have been happy with Rudy as President?

Yes I realize that but....Can you not here the moderators questions at the debate?? Something like this...Rudy you say you are pro abortion and pro homo, why then are you telling conservatives you will nominate conservative judges that will probably over turn ROE etc?? Where are your principals, would be the next question.

Lets say he is elected...What assurance do we have that he would keep his promise?? I can hear him now saying...Yes I did say this, however its obvious I have to name a moderate in order to get him/her through.

Why would we trust him? Makes no sense at all to me.

Is this true?

"And over 80 percent of Republicans believe that the decision with regard to an abortion should be made by a woman, her doctor, and her family rather than dictated by the government."

-Not exactly.-

The link has no data to show the trend during Giuliani's term. It compares 1970 to 2000. I don't think he was in office for those thirty years. Please interpret your data correctly and don't falsify statistics.

"And over 80 percent of Republicans believe that the decision with regard to an abortion should be made by a woman, her doctor, and her family rather than dictated by the government."

As heard from a pro-abortion/pro-privacy analyst re: abortion polls and the claim that support for abortion is going up amongst Republicans: (paraphrase) "it is difficult to believe that abortion is LESS popular among independents and Democrats than Republicans." American Viewpoint abortion polls are often funded by pro-abortion movements, including NARAL, so it would not surprise me to find they had funded that poll as well. I've never seen it, so I do not know.

Do you believe polls that claim Americans are against the War on Terror when they are funded by MoveOn or Code Pink/Sheehan?
