Lets review what history has to say about what Achmed and Achshmek will do.
Most likely for a small number of casualties, they will utilize the suicide bomber.
Most likely for large casualties, they will utilize a tanker truck, airplane, or automobile.
Once you have covered the bases to stop them from using their proven favorite methods, I will then join the paranoia about "litebrites".

Anyone know if the press conference is on Youtube yet?
CanisRex, I check FR on a daily basis and just laugh at some of the back and forth between members. It gets me through the day.

The bottom of these "signs" were covered in black electrical tape with wires hanging out of them. Some of them were not easily reached or visible. I think the local authorities didn't overreact. They erred on the side of caution as they had to. I find it appalling how some freeper are so quick in accusing the officials of being fools, signs with black wires and batteries could just have easily been a bomb

There are these cylindrical things outside my office building
right now that some folks are calling "just harmless trash cans." And I've seen more than one water bottle supposedly "abandoned" in the food court of the office building next block over. And there are these supposed "bicycles" all over the place that are
chained to street signs, and lots of cars idling at the curb that some people claim are "just taxi-cabs."
HA!! I know better.

We are not going to agree on this subject. I am close by Boston, with many friends and relatives there. I cannot remember every being so angry about stupidity. There are endless stories here with the Darwin alert on them, but this is the first one that really ever hurt an entire city.
And it did, too. Don't let the two DUers fool you into thinking that what they did yesterday or today at the presser is in any way cool. It really is not funny at all.
BTW, if it is such a harmless joke, what do you think of a LiteBrite toy hung in public places flipping the bird? Security concerns aside, I would have called the mayor's office (like I did this morning) and screamed blue murder about such an affront to decent people. And it is.
It was and still is, an obscene gesture. Like I said, this has DU/Kos Kids written all over it.

They had other stuff like that planned. Among the stunts were: young men in "suicide vests on trains and buses, white powder being sent to people in the media and jets with the cartoon logo flying close to buildings. Source?
To: billbears
How can you be in a date? When did that take place? It took place in 2001.

It's a cartoon, it's flipping the bird, a meaningless gesture that only has meaning to those looking to take offense to it. Sheesh. As long as reproductive organs are left out of the depictions, those outraged by cartoons, are just looking to be outraged to stir up a stink, just like the muzzies do.

>>>...a meaningless gesture that only has meaning to those looking to take offense at it.<<<<
I see all kinds of low-rent, dirtball people throwing that finger all the time. Mostly, they are under thirty. The very second they do that, in traffic or on the street, I know that is a no class bum that I want nothing to do with...and for some odd reason, I always think that these losers flipping the bird have a social disease.
In Western civilization, we strive for excellence. We are never content to sit in the bottom of the barrel. That is why (outside of celeb culture) we try to maintain the highest standards of behaviour. It is not cool, it is thug. It's BET, MTV, HBO culture that says it's perfectly fine to use such coarse and ugly gestures and words. That might be your world. It will never be mine.
One of my most frequent shorthands is PC BS. I use this because I think it covers about 90% of what we discuss here with regard to politics and society. I am not a prude. I just have standards and those standards do not include the "That's OK" mindset. If some grunge person is picking his nose on the Amtrak, I am the woman who stands up and makes him stop. That is my responsibility because I live in this civilized country. Mr. X has lived in many Third World countries, and has told me the horror stories. Not happening here while I'm still around.
