Anti-war protesters spray paint Capitol building
The Hill ^ | January 28, 2007 | Jackie Kucinich

Posted on 01/28/2007 4:09:17 PM PST by RDTF

Anti-war protesters were allowed to spray paint on part of thewest front steps of the United States Capitol building after police wereordered to break their security line by their leadership, two sources toldThe Hill.

According to the sources, police officers were livid when theywere told to fall back by U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) Chief Phillip Morse andDeputy Chief Daniel Nichols. "They were the commanders on the scene," one source said, who requested anonymity. "It was disgusting."

After police ceded the stairs, located on the lower west frontof the Capitol, the building was locked down, the source added.

A second source who witnessed the incident said that the policehad the crowd stopped at Third Street, but were told to bring the policeline in front of the Capitol.

Approximately 300 protesters were allowed to take the steps andbegan to spray paint "anarchist symbols" and phrase such as "Ourcapitol building" and "you can’t stop us" around the area, thesource said.

Morse responded to these claims in an e-mail Sunday afternoon, explaining that the protesters were seeking confrontation with the police.

"While there were minor instances of spray painting ofpavement by a splinter group of Anarchists who were seeking a confrontationwith the police, their attempts to breach into secure areas and rush thedoors of the Capitol were thwarted," Morse said. "The graffiti waseasily removed by the dedicated [Architect of the Capitol] staff, some of whom responded on their day off to quickly clean the area."

He added, "It is the USCP's duty and responsibility to protectthe Capitol complex, staff and public while allowing the public to exercisetheir First Amendment rights … at the end of the day, both occurredwithout injury to protestors or officers."

Future first daughter of the United States Jackie Kucinich announced that, in preparation for her eventual position, she was going to start drinking like a Bush twin. Or maybe it was “continue,” we can’t remember. She did not disappoint.

"We need another Kent State."

No we don't. What we need is a few people that are willing to wade into the fray and throw stink bombs at the stupid libs.

We need to humiliate the Rosie O'Piggy's of the world. Hit them with rotten fruit, throw them to the ground and spray paint a pink stripe across their ugly faces. Mark them for what they are.

We need to go to their rally's and instead of holding signs, we wait for one to get separated from the herd and then humiliate them. Force the media to call us horrible names for doing to them what they have been doing to us for years.

We need to have more anti-affirmative action bake sales and pig roasts for the poor. Offer discounts on gasoline fill-ups and KFC gift certificates.

Anything to make the left look stupid as well as force the press to report it. That's how you win this war.

We had some people on here a week or so ago saying it's against the constitution to have police. We are a country in deep, deep trouble... and it's coming from within.

They also attacked the Fox trucks at the rally yesterday. Brian williams said they didn't touch any of the other networks, just Fox.

Excuse me while I chuckle at all of the outrage on this thread.

Chuckle all you want.

Get a driver's licence and get back to me on that.

It should go nicely with your clipboard.

I don't know about that. And I certainly think blood should have flowed today.

Why should the Capitol Police put their necks on the line when so few people bother to show up in support of America.

Because it's their job! What does anyone else being there have to do with it?

I think the police knew that if one of the anarchists got so much as a bruise attacking the police, the leftists would have inquiry after inquiry and use the police as a scapegoat.

I fully agree. More of us need to be saying this.

Decent is American, and goes back to the revolutionary war. Vandalism is not. Protesters have a right to protest. That being said Vandalizing public property is Illegal. Vandalizing Federal property is Federal offense, and a Felony. I don't blame this on the Democrats though. As much I dislike them. These were Anarchist, and they do this stuff at every major protest. Where they come from I do not know. They are for the most part young thugs, But if they show up here in Alabama doing this kind of stuff they got another thing coming. I am not a Union man, but maybe we should let the teamsters open up on them. Then let the police turn their backs. I bet you they would sing a different tune about that anti government stuff then. These punks would be whining about no protection. They are a bunch of hypocrite's. Anyway I went on a rant, but I do think people have a right to protest. I just don't agree why they are protesting here.

Which leads to civil war and the possible imposition of matrial law? I don't know, but it don't sound good for anybody, especially those who would like to abide by the law.

Aren't the Capitol police unionized?

If so, the union leadership likely does not answer to the rank and file, but to Democrat enablers in order to push an agenda which has nothing at all to do with the interests of the rank and file. This is where the union system is broken.

It is time America sees the left for what they are. When this finally happens, people will start laughing at the left and start picking on them.

Problem is our compassion for these morons tempers our desire to b&%ch slap them. Believe me, the minute someone walked up to Rosie on national TV and smacked her in the chops would be the day Rosie cries "victimhood" and America would see she is nothing more then a rich, stupid bully.

Because that is all the left is. They are bullies and when confronted hide behind their mommy's skirt. I am telling you, we can drill ANWR tomorrow. The minute the envirowhackos sue, we countersue and they will run for the hills.

If I had spray painted "Pro Life" I would have been arrested. Don't tell me there isn't a double standard.
