"I was trying for the video, not the audio."

Ah, that explains it. The blogger mentions video, but I didn't look for it. Kept my eye on television for reports of interest while I listened to Bush, Steyn and Romney. All three were good and I plan to check out others later.

We are going to see nothing but this type of stuff from her; no real questions, no dealing with opposition crows ...

What?  Even the birds are wise to her act?

FYI, Blackfive has the list of associates (live links), under UFPJ (behind the anti-war rally), maybe we can stop by and drop them a note. I thought you would be interested... yet not surprised.

I hate to say I told you so..
Posted By The Wolf

Back in November, I posted a small piece about the coming change in what we will be seeing on our news, in our neighborhoods, and in the MSM; that change paralleling the anti-war Viet Nam playbook tactics. Well, it seems as if it kicks off this weekend. You can bet that all of this will culminate with the Democratic Convention right here in Denver. I am SO looking forward to the freak show...

The United For Peace and Justice coalition (UFPJ) and their slimy Hollyweird ilk are staging a protest in Washington, complete with 'stars', Communist Party members, and other associated fringers this weekend, to be followed by a march on the Capitol on Monday. Must be a great weekend to be in DC...

In case any of you haven't done so, I suggest you take a look at the organizations associated with these groups, and one Leslie Cagan...

The UFPJ is made up of individuals representing the following groups:

American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee
American Friends Service Committee (AFSC)
Antiwar.com
Buddhist Peace Fellowship (BPF)
Catholic Worker Movement
Center for Constitutional Rights
Center for Religion, Ethics and Social Policy
Code Pink
Communist Party USA (CPUSA)
Democratic Socialists of America
Fellowship of Reconciliation (FOR)
Global Exchange
Greenpeace
Green Party of the United States (GPUS)
Institute for Policy Studies
International Socialist Organization (ISO)
International Solidarity Movement (ISM)
Military Families Speak Out (MFSO)
MoveOn
Not in Our Name (NION)
National Council of Churches
National Lawyers Guild
National Organization for Women (NOW)
National Youth and Student Peace Coalition (NYSPC)
Nevada Shakespeare Company (NSC)
Pacifica Foundation
Peace Action
Quixote Center
Rainbow/Push Coalition
Rainforest Action Network
Refuse+Resist
Ruckus Society
School of the Americas Watch (SOAW)
Socialist Party USA (SPUSA)
Tikkun Community
TransAfrica Forum
TrueMajority
Veterans for Peace
War Resisters League
Working Assets
Z Magazine and ZNET

Does anyone else see a trend here? Could they be any more ANTI-AMERICAN than this group? Ruckus Society? Communist Party? TransAfrica Forum? Socialist Party?

The UFPJ was formed by Leslie Cagan, who is a prominent member of the Communist Party of America, among other groups. Her latest quote- "fight, war, occupation, death, destruction, spend our tax dollars," Leslie Cagan, national coordinator of United for Peace and Justice, the umbrella group that is one of the main organizers of Saturday's events, said at a media briefing.Citing what she called "this devastating debacle of lies and horror," Cagan said: "The people of this country have had it..."

What I find most troubling is the military (active duty!) folks that are planning on being present and speaking. While I am all for free speech, how can these guys stab their fellow shipmates and Soldiers in the back?

Danny Glover, Jane Fonda, Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins and others are slated to lead and speak at the 'march'. I'm guessing if they get 50,000 people to show up, it would be a miracle. But, if they are handing out free beer, they might get more...

One other noteworthy attendee will be the father of a Soldier who has been charged with 'missing movement' in order to avoid being sent to Iraq. His son is a 28 year old Army lieutenant who is to be court-martialed next month. His father plans to march with Fonda and Cagan.

I don't see any mention of Sheehan, yet.

Folks, these people had ZERO interest in the 'welfare of the troops'. NONE. NADA. It is all cover for their own interest in a SP-led society. What is beginning to bother me most is where this may lead in 9-12 months time- spitting on troops, shouting at them in the airports, neglecting the vets.

To all of you VN-era vets out there, I'm asking for your help here. Help us speak out and ensure this never happens. You've been there, you got the t-shirt- you've experienced the hatred. I don't want to see us go that route again.

But I see it coming.

Wolf

I think Liz Cheney will go far in the Future. How can she not? She has talent from both sides of the Family and has already done big things in Government. She has mastered the Genius of both Parents.....Go Liz! Mary Cheney has potential also, and she will cause the DBM to look like idiots as usual.

That is an amazing editorial.

I guess he wants Pres. Bush to just tell us all "Never mind, we THOUGHT we were in danger from Islamofacists, but hey, they didn't kill enough people yet....so, I am bringing home all troops from Iraq and Afghanistan, and then, all will be right with our world".

No such thing as "Unelectable" sorry but the political world is in flux. We have not had an election where there was NO obvious torch bearer in either party running since the 1950s.

Kennedy beat Eisenhower's chosen successor Nixon. Kennedy is killed and the torch passed to LBJ. LBJ's obvious successor Humphrey lost to Nixon. Nixon resigns and passes the torch to Ford, Cater beat Ford, Reagan beat Carter. Reagan passes the Torch to Bush 1, Bush one loses to Clinton. Clinton passes it to Gore who loses to Bush 2. After Bush two....wide open.

This is a once in a life time election. Probably the only wide open election campaign we will see in our life time. All the old assumptions and political folk wisdom go right out the door for 2008. Being ONLY a Congresscritter and having no name recognition actually HELPS Hunter since the winners in National elections usually are the once who run AGAINST the DC Machine. Reagan won by being an outsider. Clinton won the same way. Bush was the outsider and the Democrats in 2006, as unbelievable as this is to people who actually follow politics, won by running against Republican dominated DC. Hunter can win. But he will have to let it all hang out.

Many, many thanks for this stuff, and for the reminder re the (nearly unanimous) 95-0 vote in the U.S. Senate in 1997 AGAINST the Kyoto Accord (the Byrd-Hagel Resolution). The sophistry/hypocrisy/BS of recent years is disgusting.

Huge amounts of teenagers and young men. A lot more of the Baptist and African-American (as well as Mexican), community there. Thanks to the efforts of post-abortion work of Rachel's Vineyard and Silent No More. I saw more young men than ever... very encouraging. If the libs hadn't prayed to their god Al Gore for snow, sleet and cold weather... it would have been even more amazing.

No!

Enough with the family dynasties.

24 years of Bush/Clinton/Bush/possibly Clinton are more than enough of both families.

No to Jeb, no to nephews, no to daughters, no to sons, no to any more family dynasties.

Oh how I'd love to see Duncan Hunter debating Hillary and show what a nitwit she is. He comes across as a very warm, good man but no nonsense and will set you straight. He's the man! http://www.gohunter08.com

Another thing that Duncan Hunter has going for him----

We know that we will still be at war in 2008...the war on terror in Afghanistan, Iraq, and maybe Somalia or other places..

Duncan Hunter is a Vietnam veteran, and he has a son in the military in Fallujah...therefore, NO ONE will be able to accuse him of sending other parents' children off to war, when he hasn't either been IN the military, or had children in the military.

The top 3 DEMS, Hillary, Obama and John Edwards have had ZERO years experience in the military.

As a Brit looking on their performance was pure theatre and nothing to do with running a country. The autograph bit to me seemed so childish and running around to be at the front as the President passed was as you say pop groupie status.

Bobby Schlinder and his sis were there and spoke. There were a lot of reps this year speaking, the march was 45 minutes late because of the length of the rally before (Good). Jean Schmidt invited folks over to the Cannon Building for chili. Hmmm. A lot more of the representatives are having after receptions (good). They also showed the movie Bella back to back over the weekend and had millions of workshops and things for teens, as well as Rock for life, LOT of sports personalities having receptions (some of the NFL quarterbacks, basketball stars and Christian Athletes for Life, those cool wrestling guys that tour as well), and bands.

It's not like people think, it's a heck of a lot more.

Does anyone else wonder what would possess John Edwards to have the most expensive house in the world built while he is out running a campaign based on "Two Americas"???

Is that not stupid??

Bottom line here Ali is that the Dems have no qualms what so ever using the WOT which is what we are in, as merely a political pawn, issue, or whatever, in their play book to achieve more power all the time.
The lives of our soldiers and fighting men and women and the overall security of the country have little value to the rats. Only as political gain, nothing more. They really don't care and it shows over and over. Too bad more voters don't see it.
