THIS IS AN URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT:
The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic is canceling our planned gathering at Upper Senate Park scheduled for 10 a.m. this Saturday, January 27, and will instead focus our efforts on the appearance at the Navy Memorial that morning by Jane Fonda for a so-called antiwar rally there.
We will gather at 9 a.m. and stay through Fonda's scheduled appearance at 10 a.m.
Please bring American and service flags, signs bearing messages of support for our troops, as well as signs denouncing Fonda and her band of traitors.
The following is the announcement by the sponsor of Saturday's larger 'antiwar' rally on the Mall about the Navy Memorial event:
10am: Women Say Pull Out! Women's Convergence for DC Mobilization
Join Jane Fonda, Susan Sarandon, Congresswomen Maxine Waters and Lynn Woolsey, Rhea Perlman, Eve Ensler, Mimi Kennedy, Q'orianka Kilcher, the Co-founders of CODEPINK and many other amazing women. Other co-sponsors include: National Organization for Women, V-Day, WAND, Feminist Majority, Feminist Peace Network and WATER. Don't forget your PINK!
Where: Navy Memorial, 7th and Pennsylvania NW
When: Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 10am We will rally at 10am then meet up with the UFPJ rally and march!
The enemies of this nation are feeling so emboldened that they are confident enough to bring Jane Fonda to a MEMORIAL for the United States Navy. During the Vietnam war Fonda traveled to North Vietnam and posed with our enemy on an anti-aircraft battery used to shoot down our Navy pilots.
Please join us in protecting the honor and memory of the sailors and pilots of the U.S. Navy from Jane Fonda and those who support the enemy in this war.
As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
We will be downtown all day as we also plan to counter-protest the 'antiwar' march after their rally on the Mall
Dress warm, it's going to be cold but dry.
Metro stations close to the Navy Memorial include Archives/Navy Memorial on the Green and Yellow lines, Gallery Place on the Red, Green and Yellow lines and Federal Triangle on the Orange and Blue lines. Street parking and garage parking is available.
Summer soldiering, my arse. That's guard duty, and we LOVE you for it.
She won't be invited to Thanksgiving, but I'd love for her to knock on my door. The only thing better would be if murtha was standing next to her.
"She won't be invited to Thanksgiving, but I'd love for her to knock on my door. The only thing better would be if murtha was standing next to her."
Paitence, freema. These people are going to get theirs one day. It is only a matter of time and circumstance. The infamy of Mr. "Peace in Our Time" Chamberlain after WWII will pale next to the permanent and profound disgrace Fonda, Murtha, Sheehan and the like will suffer if and when a nuke goes off in a major U.S. city, the way things seem to be going. They will be exposed universally and unquestionably as the insipid, irresponsible, self-centered little twits that they are. They will be condemned like no American has ever been condemned before...and that'll be for starters.
"These people are going to get theirs one day."
I'm hoping Saturday's the day.
"I'm hoping Saturday's the day."
I'm looking beyond the protest to the dire long-term consequences of their collective action. They will pay.
I still want Saturday : )
Line em up, and we'll see who takes who. Ann's latest column. Dang I wish I could be there.

I AM WOMAN, HEAR ME BORE

It's nice to have a president who is not so sleazy that not a single Supreme Court justice shows up for his State of the Union address (Bill Clinton, January 1999, when eight justices stayed away to protest Clinton's disregard for the law and David Souter skipped the speech to watch "Sex and the City").
Speaking of which, the horny hick's wife finally ended the breathless anticipation by announcing that she is running for president. I studied tapes of Hillary feigning surprise at hearing about Monica to help me look surprised upon learning that she's running.
Best wishes for a great crowd, DC Freepers. I hope as many as possible will make the sacrifice to join you there.
ROTFLMBO!
I wish! I'm a supervisor and have 14 young'uns to keep in line! I gotta schedule breathing some days.
Thanks for the ping!
[...Rush says 2008 may be the election
when generation X, Y or Z tells the baby
boomers to finally shut up and retire...]
Now there's a prayer request!
[...Apparently Fonda has no shame...]
Apparently you haven't seen "Barbarella".
Fonda's phony, fakey, feigned, dis-ingenous
pose is such an act. Gives me the creeps.
Oh yes, we're all gonna pay....
Thanks SB for the ping.
RATS! I thought Rank had its priviledges. We'll take your back cause you've got more important things to do than to fuss at a bunch of turkey neck. saggy boob hags. Thanks for your servic.
