Unlike most JFK conspiracy theories, the LBJ angle actually makes sense. LBJ could sprinkle the Clintons on his cornflakes.

I've always thought it the most plausable theory.

Unlike most JFK conspiracy theories, the LBJ angle actually makes sense. LBJ could sprinkle the Clintons on his cornflakes. And had the resources to keep the lid on afterward, including cherrypicking *trustworthy* members of the Warren Commission.

There is an aire of plausibility to this. Lady Bird was a controlling stockholder in Halliburton, a major defence contractor. Kennedy was considering pulling the plug on Vietnam. That would have meant lost millions for LBJ.
I am convinced LBJ did everything he knew how to prolong that war because he got richer by the day because of it.

After all LBJ was the man who figured out how to keep an entire subsection of the population on the government teet...thus consigning them to serfdom forever.

LBJ was legendary in Texas politics for his sociopathic ruthlessness WAY before he ever ran for president. LBJ once told one of his people to start a rumor of beastiality about one of his opponents. His sneer was, "Let the SOB try to deny it!"
He was on the Kennedy ticket only because of the votes he could deliver, and, after the election, the Camalot bunch shoved him as far out of the loop as they could. The idea that LBJ could set up JFK for a bullet is not near as nutty as some things I've heard.

"LBJ could sprinkle the Clintons on his cornflakes."
And he loathed and despised the Kennedys (and the feeling was mutual -- he was only chosen as JFK's VP 'cause Kennedy needed him to carry more than just the northeastern states).

...the LBJ angle actually makes sense. I have long felt that it was something that should have been looked into further.
LBJ was an animal and I don't doubt for one second he was capable of orchestrating the deed.

I always thought that LBJ was responsible. He had the connections to cover things up in Texas and was a very ruthless man.

I have ALWAYS thought LBJ was behind it.....follow the money and follow WHO gains!!
It's THE reason why Hillary will NEVER pick OBAMA for VP or vice versa!!
To: Anti-Bubba182
kind of makes sense to me too. LBJ, was the one of the worst presidents of the 20th century.
Only staged up by Carter and Clinton.

This theory - true or not - makes a lot more sense that the "grassy knoll" or the "magic bullet".
As someone said, "Follow the money...".
