HUNT BLAMES JFK HIT ON LBJ
the New York POST ^ | January 14, 2007 | staff

Posted on 01/24/2007 10:56:10 AM PST by archy

Only the most far-out conspiracy theorists believe in scenarios like Hunt's. But in a new memoir, "American Spy: My Secret History in the CIA, Watergate & Beyond," due out in April, Hunt, 88, writes: "Having Kennedy liquidated, thus elevating himself to the presidency without having to work for it himself, could have been a very tempting and logical move on Johnson's part.

"LBJ had the money and the connections to manipulate the scenario in Dallas and is on record as having convinced JFK to make the appearance in the first place. He further tried unsuccessfully to engineer the passengers of each vehicle, trying to get his good buddy, Gov. [John] Connolly, to ride with him instead of in JFK's car - where . . . he would have been out of danger."

"Oswald got the wrong guy."

Oswald said he was 'a patsy' just before Ruby killed him.

I'll bet Oswald didn't kill anybody.

And had the resources to keep the lid on afterward, including cherrypicking *trustworthy* members of the Warren Commission.

Bingo!!! Isn't it scary to think of some of those? Gerald Ford, Arlen Spector....

I heard this theory years ago and would not be surprised if this was the truth. I don't suppose we will ever really know...

Well, that goes without saying... You do know Rove has a time machine?

It may have started out that way, but being from Texas, I can attest to the facts that LBJ, salted away more money on the tax payers back, than any other president in history.

Blood, Money & Power: How L.B.J. Killed J.F.K. by Barr McClellan

Review: "Former U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson ordered the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, according to the [author]. McClellan is the father of White House press secretary Scott McClellan, and Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Mark McClellan. He says he has photographs, letter, and fingerprint samples — that the ambitious Johnson was behind the 1963 assassination in Dallas, Texas." The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

His exact word were (as he signed sweeping "Great Society" welfare programs into law) were "I'll have them niggers voting democrat for years"

Don't flame me, this is an actual quote.

And Gerald Ford delivered the FBI as a member of the Warren Committee. Arlen Spectre was chief investigation counsel and see where he would up. Too many guys benefitted from this killing. Johnson was notorious in Texas for having guys killed.

As one who has read that book I can tell it in NO way closes the case. It is good at deceptive use of language though.

That book was used to discredit other theories but doesn't close the case at all. The Tramps were a curious bunch, one included Woody Harrelson's father who was a hitman. Kennedy got hit from two sides at least and there are some books that speculate that there were three hit teams in place that day, excluding Oswald.

Sorry, no sale. The presence of Oswald in the drama, exculpates Johnson. He didn't get where he was by relying on unpredictable wackos like Oswald. Not to mention all the other people, no telling in advance how many, he'd have to reward or silence.

I know lots of people like Lyndon Johnson. He'd have been offended if you suggested he'd wager so heavily on a roach like Oswald.

I'm sorry, but "Case Closed" sealed it for me. And the way I see it, if their really was a conspiracy, the truth would have come out for certain by now, instead of just the continued speculation.

Oswald acted alone, and that's that.
