Most Americans, including Republicans, are pro-choice. Rudy's on the right track.

Dear zarf,

When asked, "Should abortion be legal only in cases to save the life of the mother, in cases of rape or incest, and in cases of severe genetic deformity," majorities answer "yes."

These represent less than 4% of abortions.

Most folks, however, think that these constitute a majority of abortions. Thus, folks think that "keeping abortion legal" means mostly keeping abortion legal for these exception cases.

As well, recent polls seem to indicate that younger, college-educated folks are becoming increasingly more pro-life.

You keep saying that on multiple threads. You should do a Google search on abortion and polls and review the numbers. The average percentage of Republicans taking the pro-life view on the polls I can find is 58-63% That does not appear to be pro-choice to me.

"Most Americans, including Republicans, are pro-choice."
wow, thats a heck of an assumption!! I wonder "how" pro their choice is by your standards? right up to the baby's head being sucked out and deflated? cause, heck, thats legal!! Sure, most americans must be for that, cause there is a law defending it and all! [/sarc]

"Rudy's on the right track."
frightening to think because this would put America squarely on the wrong path. simple mouth service in the defense of unborn americans is all that's needed to still be considered 'conservative'..

its comical how much he sounds like hilary...

Untrue! The majority of Americans would ban most abortions -which are convenience abortions. Poll after polls shows this.

That's an example of people playing with statistics. Studies show that the vast majority of Americans are in favor of some restrictions on the procedure. So, the bulk of the electorate is to the right of NARAL...and Rudy.

Rudy's on the right track.

So was this train about 15 seconds before disaster struck. Let's avoid the possibility!

I don't necessarily agree. Please produce some polling data that shows this. I;ve seen data that shows a significant percentage of Dems (not a majority) are pro-life. You should also define your terms. What is "pro-choice" in your opinion?

zarf statement to sitetest: Most Americans, including Republicans, are pro-choice.

Ingtar statement to zarf: You keep saying that on multiple threads. You should do a Google search on abortion and polls and review the numbers. The average percentage of Republicans taking the pro-life view on the polls I can find is 58-63% That does not appear to be pro-choice to me

zarf reply to Ingtar: A majority of Republican women are pro-choice, albeit they have a narrower view then their Democratic counterparts, however they are in no way in favor of banning abortions.

Rodney King to zarf: Regarding your first statement, do you always just make stuff up, or was your first statement a mistake? If it's a mistake, why don't you apologize for spreading falsehoods?
