Ten years on and FR's still the best place on the web.

I don't see the point of debating people like CS--no amount of logic or common sense can pierce their near religious zealotry.

Alia: Cindy is for Profit.Didn't listen to the show and have not read all this thread yet. Did Sean or anyone ask her who is financing her? I want their names.

My take? This show was about Sean lightly interviewing Cindy so more of her statements can enter the public domain, about who she is. I wonder how Barak Obama, Nancy Pelosi, or Hillary Clinton would respond to Cindy's assertions...
Anyway, have you tried engine searching for Cindy's sponsors?

I just spoke to Gregg Garvey. He asked me to let people know that he ended up at the end of the segment due to phone problems. He should have been on earlier.

Well, here's a start.
The camp at Crawford is full of Cindy Sheehan supporters, people from all walks of life, but off to the side are a small group of professionals skilled in politics and public relations who are marketing Cindy Sheehans message. Organizers are set up in a house trailer. Their meetings closed to reporters. Leading the group is Fenton Communications employee, Michele Mulkey, based in San Francisco. Fenton specializes in public relations for liberal non-profits.
Their bills are being paid for by True Majority, a non-profit set up by Ben Cohenof Ben and Jerrys Ice Cream fame. Ben Cohen, True Majority: People are willing to listen to her and we want to do as much as we can to make her voice heard. Cohens group has teamed up with Berkeley based MoveOn.org, an anti-Bush group co-founded by Joan Blades.
Earlier this month, MoveOn helped organize anti-war vigils in support of Cindy Sheehan. Current Democratic National Party Chair Howard Deans organization Democracy for America is also involved, as is the more radical anti-war group Code Pink organized by San Franciscos Medea Benjamin. Money donated through these groups and others is helping to pay for Gold Star families whose children have been killed in Iraq to attend anti-Bush protests.

Ben Cohen's support of all things democratic is why I, nor any member of my family, will ever put one penny into his pocket by way of purchasing Ben and Jerry's ice cream
To: pghkevin
How about back to Chevez!
To: SoftballMominVA
I've tried Ben & Jerry's ice cream at least 3 times. I find it not very tasty. It resembles boogars.

Think they sold the ice cream company but I still won't buy it. Didn't buy it before I knew how liberal Ben was because it was too expensive. I like Blue Bunny the best.

By the end of the show CS showed her true colors.
At one point she said "My son died in Iraq" as if
saying, you cannot argue against me because!
She got so caught up in the Crawford mess she's become delusional.
Especially considering the fact that she bought a farm in Crawford.

Yah know, I don't really care what kind of politics a company or an entertainer, wants to adopt--don't ask, don't tell. But if they are dumb enough to shove it in my face, eff em. No money of mine ever again. Shut up and sing or serve me ice cream or whatever.
