As eyespy and I discussed this morning, what we learned from watching 24 Sunday night and last night is that if your neighbors go to beat the crap out of a Muslim neighbor, let them. That Muslim neighbor might just be a terrorist.

"Television shows like '24' also reinforce stereotypes about Arabs, he said, and in this episode connections are drawn between terrorism, Arabs and nuclear war. With the U.S. wrestling with Iran over its nuclear capabilities, these associations are dangerous, he said."
Interesting non-sequitar.

"This television show is very political, and it's no accident that it's on Fox," said Jhally, who directs the Media and Education Foundation and is professor of communications at University of Massachusetts. "Given their propaganda system, it doesn't surprise me."
Okay lets all watch Rosie and hold hands all night long, will that make him feel better

I am a huge fan of 24 and have noticed this year, a lot more "Are we violating somebody's rights??? (whine, whine) being done and some not-so-veiled attacks on the Bush administration.
Ironically though, they also have some interesting contradictions to that...like the time Jack is torturing a guy and he decides the suspect has no more information because he "sees it in his eyes", then his Islamic traitor ally sticks a knife in the guy's kneecap and the guy starts spilling info. In other words, TORTURE WORKED!
The fact is, there ARE suitcase nukes out there, and there ARE Islamofacists that would use one in a heartbeat if they could.
Unlike in 24, it won't go off in a remote warehouse, it will go off adjacent to a football stadium full of people, or a business district at 2pm.

The ABC critic doesn't know the difference between nuclear power and nuclear bomb. ABC is sad because FOX is doing so well vs. the lies of the alphabet media's biased news and programs.

The best lesson is the American family believing that if they only give in to the jihadists that they will somehow be spared, only to learn (too late) that they will only be satisfied by further death and destruction--without end. President Palmer also learns this lesson, as he releases the prisoners in exchange for yet another Muslim lie.

We are subjected to movies and tv specials about the what if scenarios of super volcanoes, the impending doom of ice ages, earthquake and tsunami fear mongering, but don't dare mention a threat that is most assuredly very real and very now.

LOL! The show was GREAT! All the whiners quoted in the article come off as crybaby, sour-grapes, delusional moonbats upset more that it is the FOX network that has this popular (because it's so damn good) show rather than one of their "propaganda" channels.

I only wish Fox had not put "24" up against the Golden Globes. If they are trying to educate Americans, then they need ratings to do it. The Globes slaughtered "24" in the ratings (per Drudge)

Sut Jhally, co-producer and co-director of the film "Hijacking Catastrophe"... Sut Jhally's, Hijacking Catastrophe(68 min) is not a movie about 9/11, rather an indictment of American imperialism, and the New American Century, the idea of military dominance and forced culturation part of neo-conservatism, the Wolfowicz Doctirne. And leave it to the TV critic to deliver the real zinger. Bianculli believes Fox is more manipulative with its product placement than anything else. "In CTU headquarters which is information central they are always watching Fox News," Biancilli said. "Now that is ridiculous." LOL. And the writer complains that the show is propoganda and is not surprised it's on Fox. Surprisingly enough though, the reporter contradicts himself and details how ABC and some other networks showed movies which feature nuclear bombs. Of course, those weren't propoganda, just entertainment, something Hollyweird can't admit about "24".
