TOKYO (AP) -- Japan's Meteorological Agency issues tsunami warning for country's east coast after magnitude 8.3 earthquake in northern Japan.
Thanks Sweetie. Been through the drill before.
I think that FReeper messed up a bit on the conversion, LOL. 50 centimeters does not come even close to 4 feet, LOL.
Yeah but I heard the artic cold hit that far down south.
Ya cold?
Can you post #3 in it's entirety? I'm sitting in Tapei and saw we're under a watch from the first 2. Would be curious to see if it's been updated.
Yea, it's 48 here
Keep tuned in here, someone will surely ping you.
I have special folks living on Maui but not on the water like you. So I am not going to ping them.
I will make a big effort to ping you if I hear anything.
OK tsunami update #3 isn't really newer than #2, it's just that #3 and #2 cover different geographical areas. #2 is hawaii and to the east, while #3 is the coastline from alaska down to vancouver. So #3 won't mention hawaii, but hawaii is still on the tsunami watch.
Tsunami warning issued for part of Alaska
By DAN JOLING, Associated Press Writer
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Officials issued a tsunami warning for parts of Alaska on Friday night after an 8.3-magnitude earthquake struck in the northern Pacific.
The quake at 7:23 Alaska time was east of the Kuril Islands northeast of Japan.
The West Coast and Alaska Tsunami Warning Center said it was not immediately known if a tsunami was generated.
But it issued a warning for the western Aleutians Islands from the villages of Nikolski to Adak and warned that people in low-lying coastal areas should remain alert to instructions from local emergency officials.
Adak is a community of 167 about 1,300 miles southwest of Anchorage. Nikolski is a village of 31 about 900 miles southwest of Anchorage.
The warning center issued a tsunami watch for the rest of the Aleutians and coastal areas along southcentral Alaska to Seward.
If a tsunami was generated, the center warned, the first waves would reach Dutch Harbor at 11:41 p.m. and Kodiak Island by 1:12 a.m. Saturday.
The center also warned that tsunamis are a series of waves potentially dangerous several hours after initial arrival time.

I remember watching the video of the last one the sea just swelled and kept coming..
Hawaii is 2 hours behind the time at the bottom of the posts here at FR. : )
Surprised no one has mentioned this. It was almost a half year ago he relayed the sense from prayer he had experienced. I don't pay him much attention, but I was surprised he made such a prophetic statement. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,195931,00.html
