Too bad no one gave Moose a lie detector test.
Altho a friend caught in a huge traffic nightmare in the vicinity reported that the police were swooping down on sedans, not white vans.
The authorities knew something that Moose did not want to be made public.
He ought to have been prosecuted for prolonging the case and risking lives.
It's a good idea to tell the child to run or bike in the opposite direction that the car is heading.
To worry about the reputation of your neighborhood is beyond self centered.
I never want to hear another complaint about the Amber Alerts!
That this day came for this family is just the very best news. They have been involved in searches for other children. They support other families with their foundation and said that Shawn would be involved in the foundation too.
This is a family with true love in their hearts and I think that involving Shaw is the very best thing this young man can do.
This animal will be in protective custody for a long time.
It was a very telling moment.
I always told my kids that typical adults would NOT ask children for directions and if anyone called to them from a car doing so, to ignore them and get out of there as fast as possible."
That's probably true; I'm probably NOT the typical adult. I'm ALWAYS watching out for kids - whenever I'm in a store or outside, anywhere there's a lot of people, I'm always watching for a kid who seems to be alone. Especially, if they're little. Many times I'll see kids that seem to be by themselves, and I'll stand there and watch them until I see them run up to some adult or someone they know. Then, I'll leave. Now, if everyone did that... Just keep your eyes open and watch.
The other day, as I was driving in to work, I noticed a kid, probably about 5 or 6 yrs. old walking to school (I assumed this cuz he had a backpack on) all by himself. This bothered me a lot, as I wondered whether I should put him in my car or just leave him be; but, as I drove by him, I noticed an older kid, maybe about 10 or 11, also walking by himself. I did a u-turn and parked right by the older kid and rolled down my window (I'm glad he didn't run away - maybe cuz I'm an older woman) and asked him if he knew the younger kid walking behind him. He said, "yes", and I asked him to wait for the younger kid and walk with him and protect him as he shouldn't be walking alone. And, he did that; he waited for him and he walked with him. I then drove on to work. But, I still wasn't comfortable with the situation. I had doubts that they would stay together; what if the older kid decided to just run ahead of the younger one - you know how kids can be sometimes. What would have been the best thing to do in that situation?
Oh, yes...Shawn would be a GREAT advocate and helper for other abductees...and for the authorities.
Good idea, Old Friend...
Wasn't that McDonald's moment the best! And that big smile on Shawn's face!
Wasn't Dahmer also in protective custody or had they taken him out by that time?

I thought so too.
If that would have been the case, then I'm glad I pulled over and asked him to walk with the younger kid.
Nope Dahmer was in general population when he was murdered.

Go to Foxnews.com and click on the "Hornbecks Reunited" video link. It's up there now.
Question, I didn't hear the part about his hopping in his own vehicle, what was that all about?
I am not Abigal, but I think it was great. Shawn showed the people that he is not going to continue to be a victime. A lot of people might want to hide for whatever wrong perceptions people might have of him.
