It was a natural question, but the boy was innocent enough not to have put any negative connotation to the test. No doubt his mom gave permission and they were glad to do so.
Or more likely he brought boys home to use as prey and murdered them.

cherry, the FBI has the apartment sealed off and they said they would be in it at least until tomorrow morning. That truck and apartment of his will be searched with a fine tooth comb for other DNA.
I heard it said twice and maybe its wrong, but the cops were serving a warrant on a different person when THEY noticed the truck....

I have feeling this this perp only likes boys that are between the age of 9 and 15, so I don't think he has taken any girls, unless he started with a girl and we have one girl that was taken not too far from where Shawn was taken from. She has been missing since the late 80's. We have 4 cases of boys being abducted in rural isolated locations in MO just outside of STL. 2 of those cases where solved today.
It is very possible that this guy may be involved in other rural MO boy abduction cases that are just outside of the St. Louis County limits. But there are several STL boy cases that are suspected as being family abductions only including one boy where the father may have killed his handicapped son but the police have not been able to pin it on him yet.
There is a possibility that Ben was going to be Shawn replacement. It is possible that the perp also had another boy with him when he abducted Shawn. The 2 other unsolved boy cases were done before Shawn came up missing.
It was on Thursday that local investigators caught a big break. Police officers from Kirkwood were serving a warrant on an apartment complex on an unrelated matter.
While there, the officers spotted a battered white Nissan truck. They contacted the Franklin County Sheriff's Department, which identified Devlin as the owner of the truck -- and later discovered the boys in his apartment.
It's a miracle they were both found. It will take years for them to recover though from that sexual and psychological torment.
A Medal of Honor? Yes..and a new, fully-loaded pickup truck.
