yes, it is bizarre, but that doesn't mean Shawn was happy and wanted to be with Devlin and that is what these Newsie people need to get.
Oh, and she asked him at the end about Shawn's dad being a sex offender and was there more to that story that could be shared, and the guy gave a real knowing look and said he and others he knows are working that angle very hard but were't quite ready to go with it. She said get back about it as soon as you can and he said "Sure thing".
i remember, this was last night. The newsie guy was someone from a news station in St.Louis I believe. But yes, he said something about Shawn's biodad and that it wasn't ready to go to press yet.
So sad. They want to tear this family apart!
They want people to think that bizarre means something wrong with Shawn and/or his family. It's all about sensationalism and ratings. They can understand his situation as well as we can...IF they wanted to.
What's bizarre about the whole thing is that a grown man who should be protective of children would terrify a young boy to the extend that he didn't dare reach out for help when he could have. Don't these people understand that this means Devlin did something very awful to Shawn, if not physically then pschologically? It continues to amaze me how some people become immediately suspicious of the victim. Can we not just have good news for once, without the media's attempt to make something bad out of it?
i agree totally. The media hasn't talked about Devlin and how selfish he was to take a kids life and use it for his own selfish desires. He kept him from his family, kept him from getting an education, and kept him from being able to be himself.
The news should focus on that and what a terrible person this man is, but they'd rather focus on ripping apart the victim, Shawn!
What??? Are they serious? Shawn was a baby since he has seen his dad. Talk about bizarre. It is bizarre how the media is carrying on with this non-story. It is even more bizarre how they "protect" the perv.

It seems the media's job nowadays is to see how much and how far they can go to humiliate.
