Oh, God forbid! /sarcasm

Hey retard, when the Second Amendment was written, there were no such thing as machine guns. If you want to own a machine gun, fine. Drop the four grand it takes for a Class III license. If you don't and you get caught then take your punishment and have a steaming hot cup of STFU.

"Yes, Hollis Wayne Fincher goes on trial on January 8th – but so does our Constitution, our Liberty and our right to own firearms. If Mr. Fincher loses this battle, we all lose," he said

I wish him the best of luck, but if a liberal court causes a loss, WE don't lose, and the second stands.

The government can pass any law they want, and I WILL STAND by the second amendment.

The motion from the federal prosecution indicated the government believes Fincher wants to argue the gun charges are unconstitutional, but it is asking that the court keep such decisions out of the jury's hands.

FEDS: "In addition to not being able to argue the 2nd Amendment, we are petioning that the jury system be passed over as well..."

The prosecutor will simply ask if the First Amendment guarantees a right to cry fire in a crowded theater to illustrate that while our BOR is sacred, it does not guarantee unfettered rights. Reasonable laws are enacted to ensure the rights of all of a society's citizens, and that means that while the 2d Amendment guarantees the right to have arms, laws can be enacted to ensure that that right does not endanger or infringe of the rights of others.

Somethings to ponder:

The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000. The accidental deaths caused by physicians are 120,000 per year. The accidental death rate per physician is 0.171. (These statistics are courtesy of the U.S. Dep't. of Health & Human Services - I am told...but not confirmed by me.)

The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000. The number of accidental gun deaths per year is 1,500. The accidental deaths per gun owner is .000188. (This information courtesy of the FBI - I am told...but not confirmed by me.)

Therefore, if true, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners. I guess you could say that "Guns don't kill people, doctors do."

Please alert your friends to this very alarming threat.

Statistics on lawyers have been withheld for fear that the shock would cause people to panic and seek medical attention.

(I enjoyed a laugh when I read this...thought some of you might enjoy one, too.)

Notable update: Fincher is seriously ill; defense has motioned for a 1-day delay and requested the jailed defendant be transferred to a hospital for proper treatment.

Of course, in Miller the feds went ahead with the case even though the defendant was dead, with predictable results.

"The objection to constitutional arguments came from Assistant U.S. Attorney Wendy Johnson, who filed a motion several days ago asking U.S. District Judge Jimm Larry Hendren to prevent Fincher and Stilley from raising any such issues."

It appears plainly that the govm't, in particular the Administration, has something to hide.

That would be because the feds are TERRIFIED that this will get to the Supreme Court.

"the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."
This says we have the right and they can't take it away. It does not say the right of the government; it clearly states people.
Police do not prevent crime they document that a crime has happened after the fact and then go after the perpetrator to bring him to justice. Police will never prevent you from becoming a victim. That is your responsibility. You carry our this responsibility by being armed and making a criminal think twice about making you a victim. It is your responsibility to protect yourself and your family, not the government's.

"Yes, Hollis Wayne Fincher goes on trial on January 8th – but so does our Constitution, our Liberty and our right to own firearms. If Mr. Fincher loses this battle, we all lose," he said."

Sound like another emotional plea:

But you can't hold a whole fraternity responsible for the behaviour of a few sick, perverted individuals. If you do, shouldn't we blame the whole fraternity system?

And if the whole fraternity system is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of our educational institutions in general? I put it to you, Greg. Isn't this an indictment of our entire American society?

Well, you can do what you want to us but we won't sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America!

There have been laws since 1934 making it illegal for residents of the United States to own machine guns without special permission from the U.S. Treasury Department. Federal law allows the public to own machine guns made and registered before 1986 under certain conditions.

It used to be the Treasury department that one had to beg permission from. Now it's Justice, making obvious the lie that the NFA was just a "tax act".

But that was settled long ago when the Treasury would no longer accept the tax payment after the 1986 ban. The change took away the fig leaf of "power to tax", and left the naked violation of the second amendment obvious for all, except federal appellate judges apparently, to see.
