LATE EDITION (CNN) : Iraq's national security adviser, Mowaffak al-Rubaie; Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif.; Senate Minority Whip Trent Lott, R-Miss.; House Minority Whip Roy Blunt, R-Mo.; Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, presidential candidate.
Couplea things.
I heard Tim Russert say, and I paraphrase, "Now that the Dem's are in charge of congress and we have REAL oversight"...yada, yada.
Folks, is this not damning in just the phrasing? "REAL" oversight? What's the implication here? The Republicans weren't doing oversight? How's the average Joe going to interpret that loaded statement?
I also heard with mine own lying ears, Joe Biden, AKA Hairplugs, respond to Russert's questions re Pelosi and Reid's letter to the President re Iraq, that it was, and I quote exactly here, a "RED HERRING". Come on, ladies and gems, a member of their own party is admitting the letter is a load of crap!
I got more. I feel a real vent coming on. Dogs and Chefs notwithstanding, I'm paying attention.
More proof, if any needed, that FOX is not a conservative news outlet. I'm so glad that I stopped watching them.
LMAO! Walking and chewing gum; not that hard.
I didn't really tune into it, it just followed the local newscast I had on in the background. In retrospect, I should have switched to anything else, maybe cartoons, I think Curious George was on...
Any Delawareans out there?
Living in assachusetts, and having Double Dipsh*t Senators, I can't say anything about why Biden keeps getting elected, but somebody needs to 'splain to me exactly what Joe Biden has ever done to deserve so much air time (that's a rhetorical question).
I'd like to suggest it was due some kind of sexual relationship between Russert and Biden, but even I wouldn't believe that.
Except for maybe mutual self-gratification (aka mental masturbation), or deriving perverse pleasure by committing verbal sodomy upon the MTP audience.
And how stupid and duplicitous does Biden have to be, to keep repeating "My friend" about a member of the political opposition?
He's lying right out of the starting gate. Does he think anyone will believe anything he says after that?
It's akin to the old conundrum "Everything I say is a lie".
I wish I could go back on vacation : )
Harold Ford shocks and astounds by warning us not to count Jeb Bush out of the presidential race. Just as full of it as ever, Harold, and don't call me.
It is really really odd (though I guess not for the Drive-By-Media) to not have Lieberman and McCain on the shows today. The surge is by far the top story, and they don't have the two most visible proponents of it on the shows? Bah. I bet all these guys would rather make today a big Bela Pelosi lovefest.
I wish McC & L WERE on for some questions. I'm concerned that I hear from some news rumblings that the military can only muster 9,000 for the surge-- this concerns me-- they need to increase significantly and tell 'em to take the gloves off and no reprisals. What good is even 100,000 more troops if they're not allowed to do their job? Tough times for the troops-- I'm praying as hard as I can these days.
She's running as HilaryCare Rob'em?? Should be catchy.
Pray for W and Our Troops
This is the question that is central to this entire endeavor.
You love butter? Then you should love the Barefoot Contessa, most everything she makes takes a pound of butter. You want good recipes get Cuisine at home and Fine Cooking magazines, they are great.
According to historians Lincoln is supposed to have said this about accusations concerning Grant's drinking habits:
"So Grant gets drunk, does he?" queried Lincoln, addressing himself to one of the particularly active detractors of the soldier, who, at that period, was inflicting heavy damage upon the Confederates.
"Yes, he does, and I can prove it," was the reply.
"Well," returned Lincoln, with the faintest suspicion of a twinkle in his eye, "you needn't waste your time getting proof; you just find out, to oblige me, what brand of whiskey Grant drinks, because I want to send a barrel of it to each one of my generals."
So we should find out what whiskey it was that Grant drank (Grant is said to have favored Old Crow), buy a case and send it to the good Admiral (care of a nearby warship, not to be shipped in country, of course)
Your post made me laugh.
Speaking of Labs. There are no more gentle non-aggressive dogs on this planet.
Which brings me to the time I actually brought a black Labrador INTO our very own yard. Which is also Jo-Ann's yard, you should understand.
Well Jo-Ann did carry on like a damn nut what with this dog in HER yard but read my lips, SHE NEVER, NOT EVER, NOT NEVER, made any attempt to ATTACK the Lab.
In fact, she was so damn scared she actually squatted and shat a runny poop. She ran around the Lab, she acted like a real bitch, you should smile, but she never attacked a dog IN HER OWN YARD!
The Lab, for his sweet kind part, just stood quiet and still and let the she-bitch carry on like a dog demented.
In other words, he made no aggressive move towards Jo-Ann, who likely thought she was giving this interloper a real warning lest he get any ideas.
Conclusion....dogs that do not attack Jo-Ann...LIVE to tell about it.
> Frank is smart.
Thanks :-) Frank and Rowley are the best dogs I have ever had. I'm hoping to get 'em involved as therapy dogs, they're so gentle even with grabby toddlers... :-)
> When I see anyone walking one of those stupid little chihuawas (that's another thing to hate -- you can't spell their stupid little names) ... anyway, I want to shout out the car window... GET A DOG!
> But, that wouldn't be prudent, would it?
It would, however, be true :-) I can tolerate some small dogs but most seem like genetically engineered rats to me...
BTW-- I *am* keeping track of the news-- just trying to lighten the heavy gruel that is the Sunday MSM propaganda mills with a little "dawg tawk".
:) By the way, John Burns is telling Wolfie that more troops in Iraq just might work, and the look on Wolfie's face tells me he does not like hearing this.
Do they really not understand the price of failure? It would be catastrophic...which is the strongest word I can think of just now.
I am a Delawarean. Not necessarily proud of it, understand, but Biden is mine own senator and hey, just this past November, Delawareans elected, get this, BEAU BIDEN, as state Attorney General.
He's reproduced, folks, and you're not done hearing from him yet.
He may be our next President, one never knows. What's your question?
And as McCain says ...this ain't Vietnam...when we left Vietnam the Vietnamese weren't interested in following us HOME>...Al Queda says they PLAN ON Following Us HOME!!!
