The WorldNetDaily article referenced also includes this:

"The Constitution Party is also strongly supportive of Republican Congressmen Tom Tancredo and Ron Paul, but there is no decision yet that either would leave their home in the Republican Party to pursue a Constitution Party nomination. Tancredo has said numerous times he is considering a run for the presidency.

"The American public are angry at both the Democratic and Republican Party," Phillips said. "If neither major party wants to listen to the American middle class, the Constitution Party is ready to enter center stage and get back to the basics that have made the republic established by our founding fathers work for over 230 years."

Well, we'll see.

The Constitution Party does seem intent on being first out of the gate, however.

And the day Tancredo jumps ship and runs third party is the day we are assured to have President Hillary Clinton or President Osama Obama.

Conservative my a** Below is from lthe const. web site.
It is no different than the left wing anti war idiots.
CONSTITUTION PARTY IS NOT CONSERVATIVE
see below

Terrorism and Personal Liberty
America is engaged in an undeclared war with an ill-defined enemy (terrorism), a war which threatens to be never ending, and which is being used to vastly expand government power, particularly that of the executive branch, at the expense of the individual liberties of the American people.

The "war on terrorism" is serving as an excuse for the government to spend beyond its income, expand the Federal bureaucracy, and socialize the nation through taxpayer bailouts of the airlines, subsidies to the giant insurance corporations, and other Federal programs.

the from their web site

These people will just help the liberal Democrats by splitting the conservative vote.

A third party is something that no one who is serious about their country's future can even consider. Did we not learn this lesson when Bill Clinton was inaugurated with 43% of the vote in January, 1993? Good grief.

Oh, and don't look for the Constitution Party to do anything but undermine the (most significant in U.S. history) war against terrorists.

Finally, the Constitution Party is not pro-life. They claim that they are so, but down deep, the Constitution Party supports legal abortion as much as Democrats.

Pleas not Keyes.

I voted for him against Bush II in his nomination battle, but he demonstrated in Illinois that brillant as he is, he can't communicate with the average voter.

If JulieAnnie, Mitty or McPain get nominated, a third party will have to be the way for conservative Republicans to go. Any of thse will be hardly more palatable to anything the Rats can put up.

While the CP's overly "theocratic" philosophy is repulsive to many, the overall platform is fiscally conservative enough to secure a substantial block of support from common sense voting Americans.

From a strictly personal perspective, the gop has less than a .002% chance of securing my vote with any of its 6 -8 "front runners" at this time. (of course the DNC has an even lower percentage chance of getting my vote either....)

Since the republican is proveing to be mostly socialists..
The Constitution Party looks good..

But cannot win.. the deck is stacked against Any 3RD PARTY..

What to do?..
UNless there is a Civil War I think we're screwed..
"WE" meaning any of the right wing out there, REMAINING...
Finding a republican that will/would TURN DOWN a government check has become extremely remote..

Republicans and Conservatives are most all socialists.. Pity..
No matter how they grunt and squeal they are pigs for government largess..

These people are a bunch of cowardly nut jobs. They know full well they'll never be elected to anything. It's easy to be a third-party candidate. You can stand there, pontificate about how pure you are, all the while knowing you'll never have to prove a thing. If they would run in Republican primaries, some would be in office right now and perhaps, just perhaps, they'd be helping the Republican party move to the right.

I have no use for these people as I recall their campaigns during 2000 and 2004. They were trying to convice all of us that Bush is a greater threat than Gore or Kerry. I used to be stupid enough to send these cowards my hard-earned money. I want my money back.

The Constitution Party (and the LP) can make itself useful by endorsing the most conservative Republican running in 2008, which is likely Duncan Hunter. With these endorsements, and not running a Presidential candidate of their own, the GOP would return to its conservative roots and sweep the 2008 elections.

The CP & the LP should do what the Conservative Party of New York does, and they'll be more effective that way. Otherwise, their leading candidates won't get elected dog catcher.

If enough conservative voters decide to vote third party in '08, then this is what will happen in total in November '08: 1.) Many conservative voters will decide to sit out the November '08 elections; 2.)Many conservative voters will decide to vote for the Libertarian Party candidates for President/V.P.; 3.) Many conservative voters will decide to vote for the Constitution Party candidates for President/V.P.; 4.) Many conservative voters will decide to vote for any other possible "conservative" Independent candidates for President/V.P.; and 5.) Many conservative voters will decide to vote for the Republican Party candidates for President/V.P. This "total split" in the conservative vote will only guarantee victory for the Democratic candidates for President/V.P. in '08 as well as probably also help all of the other leftist candidates at every political level during the November '08 elections.
