I don't mind not having mail today nearly as much as I will in a couple of weeks on MLK's birthday.

Relax, Fawn. A national day of mourning for all former Presidents is protocol.

I wonder how many Federal employees said "OH CRAP--that means we get a day off" when Prez Ford passed away. If they wanted to really HONOR him....they'd work twice as hard.

My office is open too, and I am there, and I appreciate that some people in this country still understand protocol. I take it that's not the field in which your job lies. ;-D

The Wellston funeral was nothing to what x42's will be imo. Will probably stretch out for 2-3 weeks and take at least a week for all the libs' eulogizing him, followed by interminal recreation of his life and 8 years in office.

(If you don't believe me, just think of how many times in the past 40 years that the Camelot legacy has been on TV.)

"HE that has almost made Pres. Bush's an imperialistic presidency".

When the truth is that he has done no such thing...but that won't stop the haters.

He acted like it was silly and gave Carter a complete pass that he has been a tad outspoken...to say the least...I'll shut up about it now and watch the ceremony.

Sorry if I sound a bit harsh. I certainly do not mean to be. I've been on other threads and the "supposed to" and "should ofs" drove me nuts.

Everyone is an expert on what everyone else should do. (not saying that about you at all).

Don't you find the music gorgeous?
