Muslim Mosques being built all over this country like Starbucks and no one is asking why or even covering this phemomen.A mosque was built in very blue, very environmentalist Montgomery County, MD several years ago (pre-nine eleven). It is at the crest of a high hill. They removed many trees without permit, but they just paid a fine and then put up several satellite dishes, some of them so big that they look like they belong at an airport. What's up with that?
The entire property is fenced, but they did hang red, white and blue bunting on it after 9-11.

One Congressman, Virgil Goode tried to...and has been excoriated by the MSM and any and all Muslim groups.I heard the letter he wrote read aloud on the radio. It wasnt divisive, it plainly stated facts. Yet he is excoriated and Ellison is elevated. Why dont we just skip procedure and tradition and coronate Hussein/Ellison now, and order our prayer rugs and embrace Sharia Law now?

At the end of his lecture on this -- the other four, including Eric Burns, were literally speechless -- he looked at the camera and said: send you comments to Fox News!
He basically said we are going to politically correct ourselves out of a country... something a lot of us have been saying.
Yes, we need to start paying more attention to this before it's too late.

He didn't address this particular congressman, but he did address the politically correct ignoring a real issue.

What's up with that?Just like the Soviets-they would build "Trade Missions" whose buildings were bristling with antenae and dishes. A Mosques with comm gear on the roof should be sending up red flags, but in the liberal pit of Mongomery County, Ill bet no one even noticed..

"Hillary Clinton will be out of the running for her party's nomination for the presidency by late 2007."
This is the only prediction I disagree with you on. Hillary is not going to be out of the running, if at all, until 2008. She is evil and will do whatever it takes to get the nomination. I don't see her bowing out until after the primaries and caucuses.

from what I have seen about the professors in these colleges and universities, I wouldn't WANT my children getting their education there...Quite wise, and no, many do not need a college education to do well, and it may actually harm them.

I think we need to take what Cal said and start paying attention when this happens and wake people up before it is too late... anyone who knows anything about their religion knows they will say one thing (as they are doing in Katy, TX) and do another and their goal from birth to grave is to convert or kill all infidels.

Indeed one can tell Lynne Cheney is a strong women and has strong views etc but it is obvious that this does not make the VP look less manly.
I get the impression he likes strong women it is often interesting to see when in group of politicians you often see him talking to women some of them actual politicians themselves or wives of politicians. None of this comes over as gushing or sexual or in any way patronizing to me it is genuine interest in how strong women operate and enjoyment of their company.
He has 2 strong women as children and certainly from photos of them and comments made particularly of the oldest grand daughter strong female grand daughters. None of this IMHO makes him look less masculine in fact I think it enhances it and shows how a real man can handle the situation without making him less of a man. It's a Wyoming thing. The image of the strong woman making it on her own while her menfolk are off in the back of beyond with the cattle or working on some distant fence line or some such is a very strong icon in much of the west, but it is a core concept in how people in Wyoming think of themselves. My mother's parents homesteaded in the Wind River area of Wyoming and I still have family up there.
The classic image is some rascal coming into a situation and thinking he's going to take advantage of "the little woman" and the men folk sit back and watch as the poor bastard gets his head handed to him. If you haven't seen the John Wayne movie The Hellfighters (a fictionalized story based on the real Red Adair) see if you can get hold of it. Not a great movie, but good enough, and it brings the archetype characters, both men and women, perfectly up to a modern setting. One of the best lines in the movie is after John Wayne's ex wife (who couldn't stand the risks of his profession) has "ripped a new one" on some local military type who failed to provide protection for "her man." Wayne's line is "You'll do" and they get remarried.
It frustrated the hell out of my mom and her younger sister when the family moved to Mississippi in the 30s and they were expected to fit into the "southern belle" stereotype. Fortunately her family hooked up with my dad's family who had the same traditions within the clan, regardless of local expectations. After my parents were married and ended up "making it" to the big city corporate world in New York (in the late 50s) my mom would practically spit nails after running into some socialite twit. Fortunately they ended up moving in circles that included some very important people and the most successful men, even in that society, were married to very strong and competent women (but not ones who wanted to dominate). Some of the power couples I got to observe while growing up were amazing.
The opposite is true of both the Clinton's and Edwards.
It's a liberal thing.

As if America isn't already the saviour of the world. As if we aren't always there for everyone in need.
What has Edwards done but cause divisions and make outright false representations.

I think you are right about your Romney pick, but I think Rudy will be his pick for Attorney General, not VP. I wish it could be Condi Rice for VP, but I do not think it will be. It may be the Young, Handsome Conservative Governor of Utah, who strangely enough is a Mormon also like Romney. It is a possibility that they may choose Michael Steele for VP, he certainly will be in the Cabinet. There also may be a Darkhorse for VP in the Governor of SC, Marshall clement Sanford Jr who also was a two term Congressman term limiting himself, and is well liked with a warm Southern Personality, and fiscally very conservative. He brought a Pig into the House to point out Pork Spending. I do not believe Gov Rutabaga Richardson will go anywhere even VP, he has a lot of Clinton Baggage and he is really unattractive (and no Abe Lincoln), plus he is known for crooked behind the scenes dealing, and making jobs for his friends at taxpayers expense, and turning the Governor's office into his own Pork-barrel project. He will not get the Spanish vote unless he uses his Spanish Maiden name (LOL) like the Sanchez Sisters from California. He is that devious, but the voters are not that stupid. enough for now...

#266, You are right, they have so much baggage that in order to win the GOP Primary they would have to turn Catholic and confess all their sins. That may take too long. LOL!

I always enjoy hearing Lynne Cheney talk of strong western women you can tell she puts herself in that category but again does not push it as domination thing over her husband but just as a fact.
I am certain I am right that her own mother was a deputy sheriff again backing up your description of these western women.

#273, you are so right on that. Rick Santorum literally beat the stuffing out of Hillary on the Senate floor during the Debate about PBA. she looked so callous, cold, calculating, and completely outflanked by Rick. She was left flatfooted. Boy will he be missed, but he would make an excellent Supreme Court Justice. He would be great in any number of Cabinet Positions, and he is way ahead of the pack on Islamofacists plans to exterminate all other Religions from this Earth.

... some people from the South particularly parts of Georgia (like Phil Gramm originally from Ga), and parts of SC,TN, and other Southern States twist their mouths when they talk. I have never been able to figure out why ...Think chewing tobacco. The "chaw" goes on the side of the mouth away from where you open your mouth (unless it's time to spit).
