He'll be smiling because he believes that it will never happen, that he'll receive some sort of absolutlely last second reprieve. In that case, I hope he does die smiling, all the way to Hell!
Who will know if he is smiling or not? From what I just heard he will be hanged just like others. They put a hood over their head.
