The rapper - who was arrested in October for possession of drugs and a firearm - wishes the planet could be free of guns so no more lives could be unnecessarily cut short.

He said: "I would like everyone to be able to put down their guns. Guns are not good. When I was growing up I knew my life could be taken in a second by a gun."
In October, Snoop was stopped by police for a traffic violation at the Bob Hope Airport, in Burbank. An unlicensed gun and marijuana were found during a search of his vehicle.
The rapper was charged with possession of a firearm and transportation of a controlled substance and released on $35,000 bail.
In November, Snoop handed himself into police after a warrant was issued for his arrest over a separate charge of possession of a deadly weapon. He was charged and bail set at $150,000.
The rapper had been stopped at the John Wayne Airport, in Santa Ana, on September 27 after a 20-inch extendable baton was found in his bag. Snoop claimed he did not know it was illegal and was going to use it in his video. The baton was confiscated and the rapper was allowed to board his San Francisco flight.

I want a country without gun-control laws. Since I live near Chicago, I heard that Chicago banned gun ownership by anyone other than police officers. In three of the last five years, Chicago had more murders than any other American city. The law-abiding people don't have guns, and the gang members don't care about the law. They drive to suburbs, buy guns, and bring them into Chicago.
Holy crap did Al camp out at Krispy Kreme after the election? I haven't seen a full shot of him since then. Too bad he shaved the beard though, thought he looked good in a Will Riker sort of way.
Hmm...whether Dogg really said this or not, it isn't actually difficult to imagine a world without guns. Think Ghengis Khan.

Criminals want their victims defenseless.
Before there firearms there were swords. Swords can make nasty wounds and are low-tech enough that anybody can make one. Swords are banned in some places, but nevertheless there they are. But, even without swords people still manage to have disabling accidents and find ways to die including disease and old age. All in all, weapons make things fairer since without weapons the biggest nastiest men would rule and we would all live in caves until eaten by bears and tigers.
