According to the invaluable report of the Chicago Tribune, the Muslim Brotherhood operates in the United States as the Muslim American Society. Daveed Gartenstein-Ross's "MAS's Muslim Brotherood problem" expands on the meaning of MAS's relationship to the Muslim Brotherood. Like the Muslim Brotherhood and the MAS, the Islamic Circle of North America promotes the establishment of the Islamic system of life. According to Steven Emerson, the ICNA also has close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.
The two groups -- MAS and the ICNA -- hold a joint annual convention. This year's joint annual convention in Dearborn welcomed -- who else? -- Minnesota Fifth District Rep.-elect Keith Ellison as its keynote speaker. The Detroit Free Press reports on Ellison's speech this past Sunday night:
"You can't back down, you can't chicken out, you can't be afraid, you got to have faith in Allah, and you got to stand up and be a real Muslim," Detroit native Keith Ellison said to loud applause.
"Allahu akbar" -- God is great -- was the reply of many in the crowd.
Surely one of these days some bigfoot journalist will ask Ellison what branch of Islam he adheres to in reconciling Islam with the Democratic platform on abortion rights, homosexual rights, the rights of women and the like. Perhaps some bigfoot journalist might then ask a question or two about how Ellison's branch of Islam views the legal equality of Muslims and infidels and the supremacy of the United States Constitution over Sharia law. Until that time, we will have pay attention to the friends of Keith Ellison for the light they may shed on his views on these subjects.
The author makes some great points. I wonder which reporter will step up and ask those questions. One question this poster wants to see him asked is how does he feel about the fact that muslims are encouraged to lie to further their cause, like getting elected to congress..
So these people are hoping the democrats help them get into power, while the democrats are hoping these radical extremists help them get more power. Each is using the other. The radical extremists are more of a danger than the democrats. The democrats will only make the USA a socialist paradise, while the radical extremists will go around cutting heads off (starting with democrats), and force people to convert or die.

Someone ought to send this to Congressman Goode. Anyone who doubts that they are aiming at taking over our country and establishing a miserable, murderous and disfunctional "Islamic way of life" here is fooling themselves. This is exactly what they are trying to do, and we are letting them. Envious of our wealth, they are out to steal our country, and our government hasn't even noticed. Instead we hear about the religion of peace. Goode is the only one with the moral fortitude to point this out, and he gets trashed.
How long shall it be before the Dem'crat National Committee is putting in a plank on the party platform that includes a "local option" for the application of shari'a law?
The door is already opened, and the Muslim constituency, still small nationally, is already highly concentrated in some key precincts in Detroit and other nearby communities, as well in other Rust Belt cities that are in a serious state of decay.
And should FCC regulations be amended to allow public beheadings to be televised during prime time?

Imam Ghazali does not say this without knowledge. He is basing his fatwa on the words and examples of the Prophet himself.
The fact is that Muslims feel no pang of conscience to lie if that lie is said for Allah’s sake and his religion. If the lie is said for a good cause it is okay.

I read somewhere that the universal translation of allahu akkbar, "God is Great" is *incorrect*.
What I read is that in the arabic language the word for "greater" and "greatest" is the same i.e. I gues the akbhar word.
But it is different than the word for "great".
So you can say something is "great" or you can say something is "greater" which is the same as saying something is "greatest".
But when they say "allahu akbhar" they are *not* saying "God is Great" they are saying "God is Greater/Greatest" i.e. superior to anything else.
But it is *never* translated this way.
I wonder why?
I have heard it translted that way by supporters of Elllison who have called in to the local talkers.

The media NEVER translates it this way.
It's like how the media USED to use Blue for incumbents and Red for non-incumbents until clinton came along. But they don't want to associate communist red with the RATs so now red is permanently used to indicate repubs. I always have to remember that it's backwards - that the reds are really blue. Pisses me off.
