A defiant Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Sunday dismissed the United Nations Security Council resolution imposing sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program as "a piece of torn paper" that would not deter Iran from its nuclear activities.
"It is a piece of torn paper... by which they aim to scare Iranians... It is in the Westerners' interests to live with a nuclear Iran," the semi-official Fars news agency quoted him as saying.
In his first response since the 15-member Council voted unanimously Saturday to impose economic sanctions, the hard-line Iranian president said that the supporters of the resolution would soon regret their "superficial act," the Irna news agency reported.
"This resolution will not harm Iran and those who backed it will soon regret their superficial act," Ahmadinejad said.

I know. It frustrating as hell, isn't it?
When the time comes, (and it will), when there is no choice left but to take Iran out, the cost for doing so (in terms of lives lost, suffering and destruction) by then will have multiplied a thousand fold.

Sadly, you're right. It's going to happen, but I honestly believe the US is going to wait until Iran strikes Israel or strikes us or some ally directly. I can't believe we're offering up our people as sacrifices to Islam, but that seems to be what's happening. A certain number of us will have to die before any US government will have permission from the Dems to strike back.

I was thinking more along the lines of his impending "status" as a hostage,...Dream on, for their motivations and directives will lead them to send him back to us to do their bidding on our turf.
Not good for us stateside....

Hey, it might work. Kerry's such a yawn -- maybe the plan's to bore Ahmadinejad to death...
I really hope they don't find out that Kerry relieved himself on 2 copy's of the Koran......using one to wipe himself. They might not be pleased.

Wouldn't the world be so much more of a better place if the planes who flew into the WTC on 9/11/01 had done so in the UN building?
